Miore 4 prongs stud earrings for women in 9kt 375 yellow gold with green emerald

Pleased with these earrings for the price. 4 stars as I would have preferred the posts to be slightly slimmer.

This is laboratory-created ruby which gives a good idea of what good ruby is supposed to look like for when we decide to purchase natural ruby which is dug out of the ground. In artificial light it is Post Office red in colour, while in daylight it is more of a pinkish shade. It is clear and brilliant as a jewel.

Gift

These are very well finished earrings using synthetic sapphires (chemically identical crystals to the naturally occurring ones but less valuable due to lack of rarity) and 9 carat gold. The blue colour is a little darker than I might have expected having seen some nicely cut natural sapphires in the past but they are eye catching and very classic in styling. Again the 9 carat gold lacks the deep gold colour of 18 carat (and the almost saffron colour of Indian 22 carat gold) but it is tidily finished and the overall effect looks much more valuable than the modest asking price at present. The clasps are secure and the gift box is presentable if not striking. A very appealing gift for anyone who likes understated classic jewellery.

I wanted a beautiful birthstone for my wifes birthday as we were off celebrating on a cruise with our kids and grandchildren and these seemed to fit the bill. When they arrived I was extremely happy at the quality and size, the pictures do not do them justice and suffice to say my wife adored them and wore them on her b'day as we went for a superb dinner
