Very good for the price
My nephew gave this a 4 star because the strings were very loose and out of place, however it’s still hours of fun.

better than a toy but not great as an instrument, even for beginners
I bought this for my 7 year old son, who expressed an interest in learning guitar. He specifically wanted one with a picture of flames on it. Being a casual guitar player myself, I was happy to find this guitar. It is definitely built to be playable, not just played with. But when it arrived it clearly needed work right out of the box. In the documentation accompanying this guitar, the first line under warnings says: "This is not a toy". Following that logic, the manufacturers consider this an instrument and so my review will treat it accordingly.First, the pros: This is an actual playable guitar with actual strings that actually fit the hand of a smaller child. The frets are level enough that there is no buzzing anywhere on the fretboard that I have found (though that is not the case for open strings, as discussed below). It has usable tuners, and a handy (though very quiet) built-in amp so your little one doesn't have to deal with box amps and cords. It also has a 1/4" jack so can be plugged in for extra kick. It has a standard strat-sized single coil pickup that I presume could easily be swapped if desired. Now, the cons: To begin with, the frets had grime/rust that needed to be sanded away. It looked used even though the description gave no indication that might be the case. The tuners are sub-par to say the least, with wiggling posts and plenty of give in a couple of the buttons before tuning is taking effect. The intonation is off too. I was very happy this guitar has a bridge that can be adjusted, but even adjusting the saddles all the way back did not fix the intonation for most strings. I was able to fix this somewhat by shortening the bolts connecting the saddles, and removing the tension springs. Perhaps most annoying is the nut, which buzzes comically on the open high E string and muffles the open A string. I may be looking to replace it, but have not yet decided if it will be worth the effort.I've fixed this guitar as much as I am going to before I give it to my son for Christmas. Depending on his level of actual interest going forward, I may make additional repairs or just get a new guitar altogether.

This product was a gift and it did not disappoint, my grandson loved it..very good value & looks the part...only one concern the packaging should & could have better, as it was everyone could see what the content was.

Impossible to tune. Intonation is well off.
This guitar is impossible to tune unfortunately.I bought this for my son (Christmas present) and he loves it... but you cannot play anything without it sounding so out of tune. I’ve been playing guitar since I was a child so know how to tune one, but the intonation is so bad that when playing chords after tuning it, it sounds awful. I’ve adjusted the bridge, tightened screws and messed around with it for hours to no avail. My son is 4 so we have decided to keep it for him as I can’t find a better alternative for him (built in speaker etc) but should he want to learn it properly, we will have to get another one as this one will disguise any progression as it will sound awful, even when played correctly.
