Diamine 80ml Jet Black Fountain Pen Ink Bottle

I'm using this ink in my Hongdian 6013 with an extra‐fine nib so that could be the issue, but I find the colour very inconsistent. Down‐strokes tend to be properly black but random parts of letters and strokes will be light grey instead. Makes the writing look extremely patchy and messy.I imagine with wider nibs the flow might be more consistent and you'd get a more regular colour.It does dry very quickly with the EF nib, pretty much immediately tbh. Very much not colourfast with highlighters etc. though and smudges quite badly. Haven't tested water resistance but I don't believe it would fare much better on that front.The bottle looks very nice on my desk and doesn't leak at all which I'm quite pleased about given some disasters I've had in the past with other brands.Overall it's fine for the price but I don't know if I'll repurchasing once I've gotten through this bottle. You may have more luck as I said with a wider nib, etc.

Usually I go for either a generic or proprietary cartridge. After sickening myself thinking about how much plastic I must have thrown away, thought I'd investigate switching to bottled ink. Turns out it's also way cheaper £/ml than cartridges, and not really that much more inconvenient. Even better, this Diamine ink writes smooth, clean and dries quickly (when tested with the same nib). I've tried more widespread popular proprietary inks and even a more esoteric "good" ink - but I think this is my favourite so far. Very pleased.

Finally , Excellent ink, correct thickening, flow and colour, after trying many big brands that says, Intense or Jet black, but very watery and grey, comes this amazing -made in UK - ink.I wish I have tried it a long time ago. Now will buy the blue one. Buy this and you will really be satisfied

This ink is exactly what is says on the bottle - jet black. It flows well, even in a fine nib, and seems more water resistant than Diamine's blue inks.

Bought this for my son, who uses it for drawing and calligraphy and everyday writing...He says that its excellent qyaility, non blotting and flows smoothly..Oh and the bottle design is always a talking point.. When he refills at work..Photo is of a recently drawn Halloween 🦇 card...

A nice (noice) solid black colour. I find it very easy to clean off my pen nib and brushes. Also very forgiving if spilt on plastic surface.Is not waterproof so just be aware of that as it may bleed on contact with water. Though if you were intending on using the ink with water in painting it is very good.Love this brand and imo better value than others *couch cough* winsor and newton *cough cough*

I use this product in a recently purchased italic fountain pen - it really is good. Diamine produce excellent inks at a sensible price in generous 80ml bottles. I already their purple and I will be purchasing other colours in due course.
