For almost four years, the Ketogenic diet helped me keep my diabetes under control. Due to financial hardship, I've been forced to resort to eating cheap, unhealthy cuisine for the past year. I was curious about the current level of my blood sugar, so I ordered this kit which included the lancelets, strips, and meter. Holy cow, it was above 300, so I need to make some big changes to my nutrition.I've upped my blood sugar monitoring because I'd rather not go back on medication. There are five depth settings and many locations that are suitable for using the lancing device included in this home monitoring kit, however, I find it most convenient to use it directly at my fingertips.The large screen of the monitor makes it accessible to people with visual impairments like myself. The glucometer will start working as soon as the testing strip is inserted into it; the test itself takes only five seconds and requires only a few drops of blood.I like that I don't have to scribble down the results by hand every day because the machine remembers my settings. A convenient case is included for transport and storage. The batteries are the only additional expense as they are not included. It's economical straightforward to use and works well.

For the most part I like this meter. I compared it with another one that I bought on Amazon and this one seems to be a lot more accurate. I cannot give it five stars because to reorder extra test strips is almost the same price as buying a whole new kit. Test strips are around $18 and a whole new kid is 25. If I could buy the test strips cheaper somewhere else I would. But so far I cant find them. So when I run out I will look for a meter that has cheaper test strips.

I got this because I was having a lot of medical issues, especially after eating. I wanted to become more self-aware of what sugar was doing to my body. It was easy to use. It has a nice carrying case. The only missing part of the case was a garbage pocket and a container for the needles to be stored in. I has a great memory so I can take my records at the end of the day and write then down with my food log.

This machine is convenient to have at home. The instructions were a little confusing, but I quickly figured them out. A lot of it was just intuitive. I like that it will display LOW if your blood glucose is actually low. It comes with a fair amount of testing strips and needles, so I won’t have to purchase them for quite some time.

It’s a great deal with everything that’s included. It’s much more expensive to get one at the drug store. I like how it has different settings to adjust how deep the needle penetrates the skin. The person I bought this for was using a different one before this that wasn’t penetrating deep enough to get his blood on the first try, so he had to prick himself multiple times. Now he doesn’t have that problem, he found the setting that works for him using this pen and it’s a better process. It’s easy to use and I’m happy that he has what he needs to properly monitor his levels now.

Purchased it for use by my daughter and myself for spot checks. It’s great. I would definitely buy alcohol wipes as they have none in the box. Great first meter.

The ease of use of the meter is its greatest advantage. It’s the cap of the gluco meter strips that I struggle to open and pull out those strips. Old, shaky hands just can’t. Some strips are still attached to each other, not well scored. I find it consistent in measuring my sugar level
