Schwalbe SCH5064 Durano Plus Wired Tyre - Black, 700x25c

I'm a cycle commuter and leisure rider, averaging +600km a month. I've been using Duranos for a number of years now, and they are the best tyres for road bikes in all weathers. I refuse to use any other tyre now. I don't think there is a totally puncture resistant tyre - but the Durano certainly comes close! 1 puncture in about the past 2 years (+10,000km) - far superior to the Lugano (I had 3 punctures in 1 week!). I found the grip questionable on Continental Gatorskins in the wet. Not so the Durano. I corner and descend at speed (on wet and dry roads) with confidence that the Durano will hold traction - as it always has!At around £20-25 a tyre, these are excellent value for money. Grippy, puncture resistant, smooth rolling and hard-wearing. What more could you want?

First impression pre ride is that they are a strongly built tyre, im a heavy rider and using them in a hot climate, will see how they fare over the rides. A little on the heavy side....but that's the least of my worries, bought for their puncture resistance and availability on 25 width.

Currently running on one puncture pear year over 10,000km of commuting. You almost forget how to change a tyre in the meantime.

I bought these tyres about two years ago. The stock tyres that my bike came with was dreadful. For about three months I literally punctured on every ride. Someone recommended these to me as having good puncture resistance. 3500 miles later I can confirm they do.So the first thing to say is that these are fairly heavy - if you are a weight weenie, they ain't the ones for you. They also have quite high rolling resistance - there are faster tyres available (although as an overweight, slow man, speed is not really a factor for me). So, heavy and slow. However - and this is a big however - they are bomb proof. Seriously. 3500 miles riding on often awful road services, through all weathers, with glass, gravel and whatever in the roads and I haven't punctured (I realise as I type this that the cycling gods will now punish me by puncturing next time out). They are phenomenally durable.There might be tyres out there that offer better protection, but if there are, I haven't found them. If you're commuting or regularly riding on bad roads or are perhaps a bit heavier than the 55kg whippets, you might well be grateful for the protection.One final thing - they are an absolute pig to fit. You might have stronger thumbs than me, but it took me forever to get the bloomin things on. Once on, of course, they have stayed on for two years, so I am not complaining, but be warned. You might need to set aside a bit of time to fit them!

Great tyre arrived promptly & as expected. Was easier to fit than I'd thought. Seems to ride well (though it's early days yet).

Good quality tyres with good grip.

This was a faulty item which did not sit on the rim even with moderate air pressure. Never seen a tyre like itI tried calling the vendor several times about a refund but UnsucessfullyVery disappointed and out of pocket

Great product good value

Great tire. Used it for two months, riding 5 days a week and so far the tire look good and is holding up great. I have not have a flat either. Not having a flat is the most important thing for me.

je fais environ 800 km par mois dans Paris, sur un vélo équipé de ces pneus et je vous garantie que rien ne passe. l'usure est là oui, mais aucun bout de verre, n'y petit objet pointue ne passe ! vraiment très bon produit... rien à dire.

Bin sehr zufrieden . Rollt comfortabelAuch auf Split oder Schotterwegen ohne Panne .Sehr empfehlenswert. Vorsicht dass die Gabel genug Platz bietet. Musste bei meinem Pinarello 1mm ausfeilen.

Endlich keinen Platten

Déjanté au bout de 300 Km, tringle rigide déjà visible ne tient plus en place.Produit inutilisable après moins d'un mois d'utilisation.Mauvaise série?Très déçu
