Boo Hoo Bird (Tankard Bird Picture Books) Hardcover – Picture Book, April 1, 2009

My son’s favorite book to read all year was “Hungry Bird” in the same series. This book and “grumpy bird” is being gifted to my son who is almost 7 for Christmas. Can’t wait to read something new with the same main character!

I purchased this book for my granddaughter who first read it in her pre-school. Every time I took her to pre-school, this is the only book she wanted to read. The book has wonderful graphics, is easily understood by young children and a treat for the parent/grandparent/caregiver who is reading the book. I highly recommend this book. My granddaughter is now almost four but she first began "reading" this book when she was a little over 2 years old. The moral of the story is quite simple - we are all able to move beyond setbacks and pain. It does have a funny, quirky ending that both the child and the adult will enjoy.

While in NY visiting my grandson Joaquin, I purchased Grumpy Bird for him - when I got back to NM I got one for me and we read it together on Skype several times a week - I went to Amazon to see if there was another Bird book and found Boo Hoo Bird - at 3 my grandson has the entire book memorized - has different faces and voices for each of the animals - so we now read Boo Hoo Bird first then Grumpy Bird which is his second favorite - highly recommend for children 2 years and older - the pictures are bright and verse easy to listen to.

This book was read at a local library storytime for toddlers. My nephew, like most toddlers, is fascinated with "boo boos" and seemed to really enjoy the book. We checked it out...and renewed it NUMEROUS times! So, for his 3rd birthday, I purchased this and Grumpy Bird by the same author. This is a very sweet story of of bird "bonked" on the head while playing and his friends attempting to make him feel better. It expresses pain, empathy, frustration, and friendship in a humorous manner. The illustrations are bright and eye-catching. My nephew, his mom, and I thoroughly enjoy it!

These books are pretty awesome. The stories are singular and with all the character required for an interesting read.

Bought this for my 3 year old daughter and she loves the book. We have read it over and over again, n now when she gets a boo-boo she wants me to do all that is done to the Boo Hoo Bird, before getting a bandage! Am so glad she likes it, n the illustrations are nice too.

Great book! My kids love it! Primarily for preschool age kids.

My girl goes back to this book often to read or just for quick look. The picture is bright and cute, the story is adorable. I read it again when she fell and had to put a bandaid on her. I would recommand this book to friends.

We have purchased all of the bird collection from Jeremy Tankard. We love the stories and have bought a few sets of these books for our family and friend's little ones.

Your child will be able to relate to Bird and learn from his predicaments in this engaging series of books by Tankard.

Hilarious book. I use a very whiny voice for bird and my son just giggles his little butt off.

It was a big hit with the recipient.

Love the Grumpy Bird. This is a great sequel, My 6 month old loves the books, story, and illustrations.
