With the advent of a walking grand child needed to provide protection from the gas fire. This is an ideal size, covers the whole fire and sits close to the unit so it does not take up loads of room. However you can still get to the controls easily and without moving the guard. Despite sitting so close to the fire it does not overheat nor does it stop the heat coming from the fire. Surprisingly stylish too!

I needed to keep my prevent my cat from burning her tail as she loves to walk over the marble hearth.I was worried also about any visitor’s children so I’m really pleased with the look of this and the fit over the gas fire.I feel more confident leaving the room now and crawling babies will be safer.I would suggest though that toddlers have a fixed fireguard that will keep them completely safe or anyone with very active animals that could jump up and knock it over.For me, this will do the job and looks good.Pleased with the product .

Had to get this because my dog could not keep away from the fire. Even when she moved away she would stick her tail through the fire bars. The fireplace guard has done the trick from day one with no mishaps and my nerves intact.

Exceeded expectations, its simple design shows off the fire beautifully whilst protecting it fully. It's lightweight and well-balanced. We hadn't realised how outdated and cumbersome our old fireguard had become. The price, at sub £30 is so reasonable...don't let that put you off, it's well worth the money and then some!

I bought this to stop my puppy chewing the gas fire and trying to take the coals. It's worked perfectly and he's quite big now, a boxer. It looks nice but doesn't stand out. I have not had the fire on.
