I don’t recommend this hot tub
My experience on the topic:I’ve owned an amazing 7 person “real” hot tub which was an effortless, efficient and self sustaining system that works as one would hope and I’ve owned the San Francisco since having moved. The San Francisco has a much longer learning curve than the real hot tub took and takes SO much more work to maintain.San Francisco Pros:Big size fits 4 people w no touching.Seats. They’re adequate and pleasant enough.Jets. They’re adequate and massage enough. There are 4 total.Has been known to go on sale for half off around Black Friday (2022).Has Bluetooth capability.San Francisco Cons:Needs a mat to go under it for comfort so you’re not sitting on the hard ground.Heating element is too small for the tub size.Cannot heat to it’s full 104 degree potential in less than 75 outdoor degrees. Highest we got it has been 102 in 68 degree outdoor air and it took over 24 hrs bringing it up from 95.Takes 24 hours to heat from 96 to 102 in any weather, hot or cool.Cools down 3-5 degrees within 25-30 minutes when bubbles or jets are used.Burns a lot of electricity for insufficient, and very little heat in return.Filter is way too small for the tub size and does not filter the water well.Gets dirtier so much quicker than a regular hot tub.Takes more chemicals to maintain clean clear water. Can’t run jets and bubbles at same time. Not an option. Can’t use the bluetooth scheduled heater timer to turn it on and off because it losses heat faster than it makes it and takes 24 hrs to heat up even just a few degrees.Solutions:Place 1/2” thick interlocking foam mats under it. This helps insulation from the bottom and makes it soft to stand on.Get a smaller hot tub like the Hawaii or less. Or spend the money on a real hot tub, which is what I truly recommend.Hose off the filter twice a week to remove filth.Use chemicals twice a week faithfully to clarify and maintain clear clean water. When using the clarifier with jets or bubbles running, hand scoop the “scum” out of the tub 5 times an hour for appointment two hours because again, the filtration systems too small to capture the debris the clarifier congeals.Use two large machine washable scum sponges and wash them often.Purchase an expensive 200 gallon fully submersible rapid water heating element to supplement the heater that comes w the hot tub to prevent burning the motor out and save your energy bill, while successfully heating the hot tub 6 degrees in 2 hours instead of 24.Wrap the exterior walls of the hot tub with an insulation product that can get wet to hold the heat in.Reasons for its subpar capabilities:It’s not insulated like a real hot tub. So even though you heat the water, the heat is not insulated in to keep it hot when the motor isn’t running. It’s similar to running the furnace with the windows open in the winter. The motor and heating element, much like the filtration system are simply inadequate for the amount of water it holds.End Results:I regret the purchase. I put more time and effort into maintaining and struggling to heat the San Francisco than I ever did my regular hot tub. I get an approximate 20% enjoyment to 80% butt pain ratio with this overpriced poor choice of a purchase I’ve unfortunately made.Update Same Day as original review:We now have a leak on day 7 of ownership. I’m seeking a return.Update day 8 of ownership right before separating and repackaging for return, motor started having errors and beeping. Only way to stop this was to unplug and replug it in, but it happened again within a few hours. Didn’t take time to evaluate this mechanical concern too much due to the return already being started.

This thing is great
I’m not sure why this only has three stars right now, this thing is fantastic, it is a fraction of the price of regular hot tubs, and it gives you so many benefits. Yes, it does take a while to heat up, but once you get there this thing works really well and has a lot of room and offers features that other inflatable hot tubs simply don’t. Great buy, I would do it again!

DO NOT BUY!!! Jets broken after 3 months and completely useless in less than a year.
This hot tub has been great up until tonight when 3 of the air tubes connected to the seat jets broke. The tubes that feed air from the wall to the back of the seats have broken completely apart. This is because the walls of the tub are not rigid enough to support the weight of the water even at recommended fill levels of water and inflation I noticed the walls starting to bow outwards and now it has finally lead to a more serious issue. The rest of the tub still works great and I was going to give it five stars. It's huge and a 6 foot person can stretch out completely. The heater is also fairly weak as it will not maintain the heat while the cover is off. Expect a constant drop in temperature once you remove the inflatable cover. Assembly was very easy and it's not difficult to move without water in it. I'll continue using it minus the jets but I hope the warranty will cover a severe issue like this. The design needs to be updated with a more rigid wall and flexible/expanding tubing for the jets.Update:Less than a year in and it has developed an internal leak. The water has made its way into the inflated area causing it to fill with water and deflate. The tub is useless and I bet the warranty won't even be honored even though I have had this for less than a year. DO NOT BUY!!!

Awesome
I really love this hot tub, we are in it almost every day. One problem I wish we knew how to make the jets work!!! We've given up. Still enjoying it though

No directions/instructions/support. It’s a mess
We very disappointed that there are no instructions on how to assemble/operate this hot tub other than a few pictures on the box, but they have covered their butts with legal/arbitration information. Basically the only readable material that came with it. We are struggling to get it together, there is nothing about how to use chemicals, the Wi-Fi keeps locking out the device so it won’t heat. Supposedly there are lights that come with it but can’t find any information on them. We can’t get past the customer service Bot. The cover won’t hold air which really concerns me considering the whole thing is inflatable.I’m torn between muddling through it or dealing with the hassle of returning it.We’ve had regular hot tubs in the past that were less frustrating. When you spend this kind of money you expect a bit of support or at least a service manual or online availability. Just so frustrated. Don’t buy if you are a complete novice

product info as to how to use and maintain pump/heater is GROOSLY inadequate, completely missing.
The tub seems very well made, the pump/heater CONTINUALLY threw error codes the first week with no available info from the mfgr as to how to remedy/prevent the issue. After 3 weeks one of the lights went out. The jury is still out on this $1600 plus purchase...will revisit this review if/when company replaces the light.

Waste of money!!
We bought one back on September 29th of 2023 and by February of 2024 the pump quit working. It’ll no longer heat the water. I tried to buy a new pump for it and they don’t sell them!

Great for the money. If you live in cold climate just have to adjust for it.
Got the sanfransico hydrojet pro in mid October. Live In michigan. Wanted it for winter use mainly. Been using it for past 3 months, it's been great for the money. Had to wrap the sides with blubbe insulation. Keep the cover with foam insulation on top of ot when not in use. Had issues getting it to temp without all that in my climate. Also bought a 30 dollar submersible on Amazon that gets it well over 104 degrees no problem with all I've done to it. Waited 3 months to make a review because I wasn't sure how it would hold up. Totally worth they purchase if you want a hottub with jets/ bubbles for a 5th of the price of a normal tub
