TYRSPORT INC Women's Alliance T-Splice Maxfit Swimsuit

This is my third TYR swimsuit to own in this exact style and design. Part of that is my personality- I could eat oatmeal for breakfast everyday forever and be happy as a clam- but part of it (really most of it in this instance), is that I love quality products. I spend inordinate amounts of time researching my decisions, and when I find something that works well I stick with it. This is a high quality swimsuit that if you wash it promptly after using and dry flat it will last years of moderate usage. I mostly am a runner and swim as cross training (or when I am injured), so I am sure it would need to be replaced more often if you swim everyday. Regarding fit, it runs small, but all swimsuits do. You want it to fit tight when you first try it on. Tighter than you think!! It definitely stretches out over time. I had a 38 that fit me (I am around 5'2", 130 pounds) straight out of the box but it stretched a lot (especially after using over a year) and had an awkward few inches that hung down at the bottom. Reordered in a 34 and it was definitely tight first trying it on. I ALMOST exchanged sizes. But decided to test it out and am happy I stuck with the smaller size. Reduces drag in the pool and already feels comfortable to wear. The placement of these stripes really are flattering, even if you have an apple shaped figure (as I do). I appreciate this because so many patterns on swimsuits call attention to my body shape in a way I don't love. Swimsuits are already probably not a women's top choice of wear, so finding something that makes you feel confident is important. It is definitely quality and I appreciate the thicker straps on the back. Give it a try!

The product looks and feels BEAUTIFUL but heed the reviews. This DOES NOT FIT like the same style TYR suit I purchased in a local retail shop!! I bought the same size I already own in this style and it was so tight that the back boobs it created by cutting into me was comical. I am ordering 2 sizes larger in hopes that it is closer to the suit I own. It looks and feels like the same TYR product and believe once I get a 38, I will be cutting through H20 like a champ! I'm 5'4" and 129lbs.Why the size difference? Who knows. Maybe that's why the pricing is so good. I think it's worth the trouble figuring out the right size. UPDATE: Ordered another suit. Clicked on the black and red suit and they sent me a blue and black. Kept it. Try clicking on the suit in my review :) Next suit will be a 36. This one was a bit large in the booty.

I'm not sure why this one fit so small compared to the other two I've purchased of this exact same brand, size, and model. But this one is definitely much smaller than the other two. I've been wearing this brand/size/model for several years for training, and it's always been a comfortable and flattering suit. But I don't think I would re-purchase this on Amazon. Next time I'll just get it at the store, even though it's more expensive. At least that way I can make sure that it fits right. Maybe this one was a fluke and somehow was just made too small or marked the wrong size, but I won't chance that next time.

I just retire my other competitive swimsuit by TYR and needed a replacement. This was the model closest to what I had. I did measurement by the company's chart and fall right in size 32. I am 5'3" and weigh 114 lbs and have a long torso. I read reviews here and decided to go 1 size up (34). The size 34 was way too snug for my torso. Hip and chest were fine but the length wasn't It was like the swimsuit eating my flesh. I had to go up 2 sizes (36) and finally fit right- with hip area a little loose, of course. So if you have a long torso, I suggest you go up 2 sizes.

We bought this oversized because we had read that the suits run small. Even then the suit was so tight that my thin daughter could not even get it on.If you're going to take the risk, I recommend ordering at least two full sizes larger than you want.

I followed the sizing chart and got the size 36 and it was way too small. I always wear between a size s-m, 5’2” and 125lbs. I couldn’t even pull the size 36 up my hips! FYI I don’t have wide hips! And worse of all, when I wanted to do a return I find out I have to pay usps to return it!

This swimsuit fits well and is comfortable for swimming laps. However, it didn't last. At 6 months the Lycra is shot-the swimsuit is falling apart as rubber stuff is peeling off. This is with a typical twice a week hour to hour and a half swim each week for the past six months. I used to swim five days a week, two hours a day, for four months before the suit would fall apart. At $50 this suit should last a year at least in comparison. Very expensive for not much use :(. Buy Speedo I guess.

I ordered a size 34 based on the recommendations of other reviews and my normal size 8. I am 5'7" and 135 pounds with what I consider a normal length for my torso. There is no way that the person who posted a review and was 5'10" fit into a size 34 suit!! This suit was way too small for my frame. I was barely able to get it on and felt like it was going to rip when trying to squeeze into it. I will order again and get a size 38 or 40. The free return was wonderful and they refunded my money right away. Thanks.

I like this suit and have another in a different pattern so I ordered the same size. This one came on time and looks great but fits pretty tightly. Perhaps it shrank a bit in shipping HAHA!! I am wearing it though and love the feel of it.

I like the style, construction and fit of TYR swimsuits. I bought the yellow on cobalt blue in June 2021 and the other a green on black recently. Sadly after 5 months of wear in chlorinated pool the cobalt blue has lost its colour and turned a light blue.

Bought this suite for my daughter. She needs good fitting, strong bathing suits as she plays under water hockey (yes it's a thing), and goes through bathing suites quickly This one is holding up to the chlorine in the pool very well. She likes it and has asked for a few more
