Great piece of kit - just needs a bit of practice to get the cooking just right.
This is excellent at cooking really great pizzas giving a nice crispiness to the base. Would thoroughly recommend it but needs a bit of practice to get the temperature and timings right. I'd ignore the advice given by the manufacturer and take no notice of the temperature gauge. I started by trying to get the temperature in a 'ideal' zone. At first it got way too hot so I turned the burners down gradually until it dropped back in to ideal zone - which took quite a while Zzzz. Then I popped a pizza in and 8 minutes later it still wasn't cooked properly :-( So I figured a real pizza oven is bloody hot and decided to turn the burners back up. The gauge went off the scale but the next pizza cooked in about 4 minutes. The base was lovely, very similar to what you'd get from a wood fired oven and the toppings were cooked well too. Went on to do another 8 pizzas in that session and had pizzas again the following day and for breakfast on the third day (it was that beautifully sunny Easter weekend!). One word of advice, as is stated in the instructions, is that because the front of oven is open you need to turn the pizza round every minute or two as it's hottest at the back and can burn the pizza before the front is done. Also, contrary to the instructions, to further re-create the temperatures and environment of a wood fired oven we ended up closing the lid of the BBQ to generate even more heat and to help with the temperature differential between the front and back. You'll still need to turn the pizza but it does seem to cook more evenly and quickly like this - just don't forget about the pizza while it's out of sight and your busy having a chat and a beer! All in all, aside from the gauge, this is an excellent really well constructed piece of kit and everyone loved the pizzas :-) Pizza ingredients are pretty affordable so it's worth doing a few to find the ideal settings for your barbie, preferably on a day before you have guests round. Also, we were using it on a large Swiss Grill gas BBQ using only two of the burners, I can't say how it would perform on charcoal or a smaller BBQ.

Didn't work for me but fully refunded
I'm a huge pizza fan, and I've used a couple of other pizza ovens before without any problems. So, when I saw this one, I was pretty excited—it looked great and seemed really well-made. I couldn't wait to whip up some amazing pizzas on my gas BBQ with it.But, things didn't work out quite as I'd hoped. When I fired it up on my gas BBQ, the pizza just didn't cook right. It was a bummer, especially since I've had good luck with other pizza ovens in the past. However, I understand that not every product is going to be a perfect fit for everyone, and sometimes things just don't go as planned. The silver lining in this situation was the way the company handled it.I reached out to their customer service, and they were amazing. They quickly issued a refund and were super understanding about the whole thing. Even though the pizza oven didn't work out for me, their excellent customer service left a positive impression. It's always nice to see a company that genuinely cares about their customers and is ready to help when things don't go smoothly.

Great product
The media could not be loaded. After needing to get a new bbq but also really wanting a pizza oven too this is the ideal way!First time testing it out last night and it was definitely a hit with everyone.The pizzas don’t take long and are perfectly cooked. This will definitely be getting used a lot this summer.Really happy with it and I do highly recommend (I don’t write reviews often!)

Fantastic! Something different to your standard bbq.
Used this today for the first time, made 6 pizzas and they were all brilliant! Although the last was the best of course. As the reviews say, you learn as you go. I was a little concerned as we have a double sided bbq and it doesn’t fit inside the rack (ie. we can’t lower it) but actually it worked just as well placed on top. We used wood because you don’t need charcoal tie die down to embers before you can cook (like you do with a normal bbq). But you can use either of course. We used pre-made dough as well as dough we made from scratch (and I am no baker believe me). Both just as good but obviously pre-made a lot easier! It rises when it cools though so you need to roll out VERY thin before putting your toppings on. Make it on a board so you can get it onto the paddle easily. Much harder from a marble countertop. Use more flour than you think when rolling so it doesn’t stick and slips onto the paddle easily. Don’t use too many toppings coz it collapses too easily then. Temperature gauge on the oven itself is very easy my husband tells me. Stays very hot so you can cook loads in there!All round a successful cooking experience and my 5 year old daughter loved helping me make them! Would definitely recommend. Calzone next for us! Eek.

This Pizza Box is amazing
This is so easy to use with perfect results. Follow these simple steps.The box has a gauge on it ..low, ideal, hot.Put the box without the pizza stone on top of your BBQ. Wait until it reads half way in the hot area.Flour the stone, so the pizza doesn't stick, and place in BBQ. The temp will then drop to the ideal temp, top of, whilst the stone cooks. Buy yourself a pizza paddle, dirt cheap. Shove pizza in box. Rotate every couple of mins.Job done. Perfect light crispy base. Not burnt.I just mine on a charcoal BBQ, I just had to make sure the was enough coal to cover the whole area of the base, not just the heat directly under the box. Also I raised it up a little so air could get to my coals, so the box was directly on the rack directly above the coals.Great product, saves buying a massive pizza oven only using it once a year. I bought an instant light bag. That was enough to heat the box and do a familys worth of pizza...

Expected better
We weren’t too impressed with this.It didn’t cook the pizzas evenly, the back is a lot hotter but even with constantly rotating the pizza they don’t cook too great. Takes quite a long time.That said the customer service was excellent, we returned the item and got an immediate refund with no questions asked.

Temperatur ist schlecht oder gar nicht zu regulieren.
Ich wollte den Pizza Ofen in meinem Gartenkamin betreiben.Die Temperatur lässt sich allerdings nur schlecht regulieren. Mit einem offenen Feuer im Kamin wird der Ofen viel zu heiß.Ich denke es geht nur, wenn im Kamin nur noch Glut vorhanden ist.
