This grinder has very very fine adjustments for particle size, with very little fines. I use it for drip coffee, and it took 35-40 turns before getting to the right grain size for me. It would be very good for espresso, as the fine end produced fluffy and even grain sizes. It is also very satisfying to use. I enjoy the feeling of grinding by hand. It makes a satisfying crunch.I am glad I picked the model with all metal parts, because it works perfectly and I want to keep it forever!

Everything about this is awesome! Very even sliced grounds, very little retention. Easy to adjust, easy to clean. I had a k4 I returned asap after I tried this one. Takes about a minute and half to grind 20 grams for espresso, but I'm waiting 15 minutes for the boiler to heat anyway.My one problem was.from holding at the wrong place. Some joints are reverse threaded, just hold the rubber section while grinding & down closest to the bottom to separate the catch cup.

Purchased this 1zpresso grinder for Aeropress and espresso really does a great job it has plenty of adjustments alot of clicks the only problem was the wood knob I was using it so much I wore the baring out that clicks the knob onto the foldable arm so the wooden knob keep coming off! I contacted the company and explained that this was happening I spoke to Chandler about the problem and he immediately and I mean fast sent me another knob and all is fixed! I highly recommend you buy from this 1Zpresso company they stand behind there grinders ! Thanks very pleased!!

This arrived with a QR code to scan to access the user manual which was inconvenient. I hate having to use my phone for stuff like that but it was the only way to access the user manual. The grinder is a quality grinder that handles an espresso grind well which is what I was looking for. The price was very reasonable as coffee grinders go. I decided to take it apart and clean it. You are not allowed to wash the parts with soap and water because they could trap water and rust. In my opinion, it's residual oils that can make your coffee taste bad as time goes on and you cannot rid the grinder of residual oils by brushing or blowing out the parts. The instructions for taking it apart and putting it back together could have been better, there were many small parts that weren't explained clearly in the manual. The grinder took some getting used to as far as where to set it for the grind I was looking for. Once I took it apart to clean, the settings were no longer the same and it took forever and many bad cups of coffee to find the new settings. I would set it and grind a little and see that it wasn't right but you can't just re-grind it so I'd be stuck with that grind. I finally found the right adjustment but it was a hassle and I wasted a lot of beans trying. Overall I love the grinder, I wish the manual was more clear and I am learning how to adjust properly and even the next time I take it apart to clean it I think I'll know how to get it where I want it by the tension on the adjustment wheel without so much trial and error.

I have used this for approx twenty cups of coffee so far. I grind personal cups (15grams), and sometimes for a whole pot (50grams) although doing fifty grams takes much longer. I can use this to grind personal cups every day all day long, it is much better than my cheap electric grinder. And even with the new fad of adding one spray of water before the grind to reduce static cling, (watch Hoffman youtube video) it works great. If you are not interested in grinding out your coffee every morning for approx 40 seconds, or you physically can't, this may not be the best grinder. If you can, this is a great grinder
