Conan Omnibus Volume 1: Birth of the Legend Paperback – 22 Dec. 2016

What can I say about this compilation? It really is what I have been looking for in years, a decent comic book adaptation of the Conan saga using the original tales by REH as a basis. It in the main sticks to a more 'realistic' style rather than the monster filled typical Conan comic book style which I personally cannot stand. It does drift a bit in this direction towards the last stories in the book but not so much that I could not bear to read any further. I can't wait for vol 2 to arrive!

This is a really good book ! the art is fantastic and Conan is as brutal and stubborn as ever .im gonna pre-order the next book before its release in may .

This series was what I was hoping for, not just a story but a journey. Great action, savagery, betrayal l, struggle and fun banter.

I have the full collection of The Savage Sword of Conan (in black and white) & other graphic books in colour, and I find the visual art of this Conan Omnibus series a bit lacking. The representation (drawing) of Conan himself changes too much from story to story (sometimes in the same story), to the point that he is not even recognisable as in previous graphic books, and some of the action drawings lack precise definition. In general the whole of the visual art is disappointing. The scripts are interesting, if not compelling.

Às vezes a qualidade de um HQ se perde na transformação para o processo digital. Já peguei obras com manchas, baixa qualidade das imagens, textos truncados ou cortados... não é o caso. Gostei muito do trabalho e estou apreciando aos poucos.Uma crítica recorrente aos amantes de Conan é que a ordem de edição dos gibis não foi respeitada nesta coleção. Não tenho certeza sobre isso. Para mim a cronologia da história parece fazer sentido.

This book was well-paced, engaging and beautifully illustrated. A great value, too, with over 400 pages of Conan's early adventures.

The storytelling is spellbounding, and the artwork is enthralling. I will definitely be buying the next Omnibus. For the seller, I have to say that the service is excellent.
