Excellent content with Jack Carr’s thought provoking forward and Mike Glover’s no nonsense save your family teaching style. Easy to read subject matter and this should be the foundation of everyone’s disaster preparedness. Purchased in October 2023 and this book is quite timely given the current state of affairs. This is one book I highly recommend.

Mike Glover brings his unique approach to learning how to prepare for when things go sideways. both physically, as well as emotionally. It’s a mindset that requires sharpening a little every day.

I follow Glover on his and other’s podcasts and admire his commitment to bettering people’s lives through no-nonsense, thorough preparedness advice and training. So I was anxious to read the book, though I was unsure what type of writer Glover would make. That said, this book is very well written. More importantly, the substance is comprehensive but not overwhelming. It’s an easily digestible entry into preparedness for the average person and a great jumping off point for more detailed reading on the subject. It will certainly set your mindset on the task of becoming better prepared.

Mike Glover is great, and very well versed in all things survival. A good read…even learned a few new skills and techniques.

I still haven't had time to read the book, but have listened to a podcast discussing the contents - valuable material!! I bought this as a gift, and it arrived in a box that was in perfect condition, but the cover on the top was wrinkled and the cover was bent on the back top corner. If it was for me, I wouldn't have cared, but it's a reminder that if you're buying a book as a gift, you should buy it from a local bookstore!

Comprehensive book on what you should already know, but possibly don't. Buy one for you and one for everyone that you care about. The information in this book is really important for all of us.

This book is great for people on either side of the spectrum of preparedness. Whether you’ve never thought about it or already have stuff in place this book gives you a starting point and further tips if you’ve already began to prep. It covers simple, yet highly important, things such as being prepared for a house fire or break and enter and goes all the way to “bugging out” when the brown stuff starts to hit the fan. It’s an easy read and you will without a doubt take something away from it that will make you an asset to yourself, your family or even your community. 10/10 worth the time and money.

This is undoubtedly one of the very best prepper books you can / should have .The author did a excellent job to identity and explain so well, 4 key mental aspects of successful prepping when the chips are downPart 2 of the book outline 3 key physical parts of prepping. The last chapter in particular is a wonderful one written with amazing insight- rich fundamental detail and is Attention grabbing.Highly recommend; to everyone involved in prepping or thinking of starting down the road of preparedness .NB . Be sure to spend sufficient time to appraise absorb & apply all the many pertinent lessons; int the book.Ps the audible version is very well narrated, and worth having for many people; imo.

I watched Mike on couple of podcasts in the past and really liked his stories so I gave a shot to the book and wasn’t disappointed.It is a short read, without fluff, with nicely layered out topics. Some great advice and examples on how to behave and act in tough situations, his recommendations on what to carry on yourself, how to prepare your car for “bug out” situations, how to protect your home… The book is full of great, usable advice for everyone, from total noobs like me to I guess more experienced people on this topic.Highly recommended read!
