Fly Racing2020 Barricade Compression Shorts

I usually order Mens Large 90% of the time for any kind of apparel. I'm 5'9", 180 lbs, and no beer gut. The thought of clothing being too tight in the crotch incentivized me to go up a size. I'm glad I did. The XL fits great. The stitching and fabric survived the washer/dryer and the material does not ride-up into body crevasses as I pedal. I'd say I've worn these on 4 long trail adventures so far. No issues. I have not tested the padding in a wipe-out scenario. However, as a test, I did lay a section of the padding over the back of my hand and knuckle punched into it. I felt it a little, however this type of pad is way better than nothing. The G-Form brand was my first choice of pad but that company is sold out of my size. The Fly Barricade is a good alternative.

Had these for a couple weeks now. Wear them twice a week, and always wash on gentle cycle. Already falling apart at the seams. Maybe I got a defective pair, not sure. But what I am sure of is I wont be buying another pair.

I bought these after the second incidence of a bruised greater femur trochanter due to a sliding out type fall at the bike park. If you've fallen and gotten that awful bruise on the knob at the outside top of your thigh, then these are for you. These come in at a comfortable and affordable level of protection without the bulk of plastic armor. The padding seems in my opinion to be just enough to prevent serious injury. They are very comfortable. I am a 32 inch waist and the size M fits just right. I haven't fallen again while wearing them and hope to keep it that way. Time will tell I am sure.

I am 5'8 170 wear L in about everything these are just tight in the waist.. Will get them wet and maybe stretch over a chair back. If the waist band dont loosen up some will try the XL.

Good fit but I had to return a Medium and order a Large. I am 5'11'' and 165 lbs - 32-33 inch waist. I also have VERY skinny legs and the M size was pinching my thighs.
