I recently went carnivore and decided to treat myself to some upscale salt to flavor my meat. Fortunately, I also purchased a nice glass salt shaker, because the zip closure on this bag failed the very first time I opened the bag. (and I was not being careless). The salt is very flavorful, with a strong hickory aroma and taste, and good sized crystals. I salt my meat well before I throw it on the grill, and am very pleased with the results. It's always extra special when the healthy choice is the delicious one as well.

I’m on the carnivore diet. I can’t be grilling every day. This salt imparts the best smoke flavor without using charcoal or liquid smoke. I just throw a bunch of this on my meat and toss it into my grilling air fryer and the results are better than any steakhouse. Try all of the flavors. Cherry is my fave, though.

These smoked salts are nothing short of amazing. Note that I have only tried "cherry" and Redmond's original fine salt. I used this to accompany my carnivore diet lifestyle, using it on different cuts of beef, chicken, and eggs. These are "coarse", which of course means that they are ideally suited for texture, as in, you like that salty crunch when you bite into a steak. However, soups, stews, and broths can all benefit as the salt will break down with cooking liquid. Also, even though this salt is already smoked, the coarseness is great for including in a rub for smoking meats, plus you get a little boost to an already delicious flavor. I look forward to trying the other smoked varieties that Redmond's has to offer.

Salt is delicious, but while I was opening it the resealable portion of the bag unsealed.... I put it in a zip lock bag. Foe the price accept for the container to contain the product.

I use this on my steaks, in my coffee…it makes me feel fancy and it definitely ups my cooking game. I love the depth of flavor this adds to my steaks. My husband didn’t know about our new salt and raved about his steak..”what did you do different, I love it?” I also bought the hickory which is delicious too. A little pricey but it will last us a long time as you don’t need much to taste the flavor. A strong salt with minerals so it beneficial too. Definitely a game changer.

I bought this just to try it out and man, I'm hooked! It adds such a nice flavour to everything. It is specially great on eggs.
