Good collection of sea stories
A good collection of short stories and excerpts that are well-chosen and provide insight into life aboard sailing vessels, arctic expeditions and historical incidents, such as the Titanic report. I enjoyed the voyage.

If your a sailing enthusiast, skip this book!
Some of the stories are strange and boring . Thank God it's only short stories.

Very Disappointing
This book was not at all what I expected. Perhaps it’s me, but I don’t find the official reports on the sinking of the Titanic,over-wintering in the Artic whilst looking for Franklin and setting off with Bligh, to be ‘ripping’. Historically interesting, yes, but thrilling ,no. The first story was excellent and some of the other short stories or excepts from well -known authors were a good or ok read but overall I’m really glad I bought it on offer for Kindle as the blurb is misleading.
