Well packaged with each burr secure inside its own plastic tube, which are clear to easily see each item, and reasonably study. The shanks are 40mm long, with the burrs well cut, sharp, and straight on the shank.My need for these is perhaps unusual, in that they are to remove paint from inside the 'dimples' of house bricks, close to UPVC windows, after most of the paint was removed with wire cup brush. The wire brush easily removed most of the paint, but could not get into the dimples. Normal paint stripper was too risky next to UPVC, while water-based stripper was taking too long and needing too much water to clean.For this they worked great - Quick and precise, with their shape allowing me to get into the hollows and cleanly out the paint, with no obvious damage to the rest of the brickwork. I used a cordless power drill (hence the need for 6mm shanks - 3mm more likely to snap) and so far I've cleaned the surround of 1 door and 1 small window with 1 burr, which still looks good, and easily able to do the other door I have left.

After reading some reviews on here saying they broke very easily I was a bit reluctant to buy these, but after blunting 3 cobalt drills trying to enlarge an 8mm hole to 10mm in 2mm thick hardened cast steel I thought it was worth a shot.I used the ball head Initially and at first when I heard all the crunching I feared the worst. I took the die grinder out and saw lots of shavings. Thinking it was the grinder I cleaned the head only to see it perfectly intact. It was the steel it was chewing through. After having another go I achieved in 30 seconds wheat I had taken ages and 3 expensive drill bits to try previously. These grinder dies are great and if they got through the hardened steel I was drilling I can highly recommend them.

I had bought a hand held circular saw that when I needed to buy more blades, I was not able to buy new blades with the right sized hole in the middle of the blades . I needed to make the hole bigger. Enter this product. I had used Titanium and Cobalt drill bits with no success, so I was not expecting to be successful with this product, I was just hoping it would!! I was amazed, I was able to resize 4 of my blades in about 10 minutes, the Carbide bit just worked away, ( I had a slow speed selected on the drill ) and letting the bit cut without forcing, hey presto, I was able to complete my job without any difficulty. I was very surprised at the ease of the job, after all the problems I had before. I can recommend these Carbide bits, in my case, they were a perfect buy.

They weren't amazingly cheap, but I was buoyed by the positive reviews and went for them.I'm very happy with the performance. I'm currently shaping some 1.5mm stainless in a place where I can't use a grind wheel and these are perfect for the job. I'm using an air die grinder (not an expensive one) and they remove material at a decent rate with no hint of going blunt in 30 seconds which was my worry.Would have been nicer for them to come in a plastic clip in box that held them all but only a minor niggle not worth dropping any stars for.

Used to open out some aluminum castings. Worked superbly, no clogging and remain sharp after several uses.

Box was delivered in perfect condition along with another unrelated small delicate electrical item. But when the box was opened this item was in a poor condition - two of the plastic holders were smashed to pieces. The other small electrical item in the box is absolutely fine. I believe this was packaged already broken.

I have only used these for roughing out my hardwood carving, they have been an excellent addition to my armoury. They cut very clean and with the double cut flutes have been clog free. I cannot say about cutting green wood or other materials as I do not work with them. Do ensure you use a 6mm collet on your grinder! Do not fit in 1/4 in collet as this will not secure the bit properly.
