Bound by Love (The Alliance, Book 10)

Intense masterpiece
Bound by Love is the tenth and final book in the Alliance series and ideally the series should be read in order. Bound by Love should definitely be read after Bound by Blood (book nine) as that was the first part of Caro and Saber’s story.I don't even know where to begin with this review, like how do I sort through the emotional mess that I'm left with after that masterpiece?! Brenda K Davies’ subversive brilliance shines in new and unexpected ways with this masterpiece.I have been really struggling with books lately which is completely unlike me, and to be honest I have even struggled with Brenda K Davies’ books, which is really unusual as she is my favourite author. However, Bound by Love has completely demolished my book slump. I couldn’t put this book down and I truly mean that!Saber was - actually I think Caro describes him best: “This beautiful, broken man was stealing her heart”. While Saber is stubborn and powerful, he’s also so kind and caring. He definitely stole my heart, just like Caro.Caro is strong, brave and the perfect person to love Saber. We read and love books, but if we’re lucky we get a chance to read a book that not only blows us away, it also makes such an impact on our emotions and thoughts. We then know we have read something exceptional and that it will always remain in our hearts.I've spent hours trying to put in to words how this book feels. Because that's the thing, right? Some books are fun. Some books are heartbreaking. Some books are many adjectives. But then a book like this comes along, and it FEELS like so many things. I think I experienced every emotion known to humankind in these 300+ pages. This story is one of the best.I cried so many times during this book. Actually I think there has only ever been one other book that I have actually cried at more times than this one; out of the hundreds I’ve read. So, therefore, I would recommend you do not read it in a public place.Bound by Love was a complete rollercoaster of emotions and I’m not just saying this, one minute I was sobbing and the next I was smiling.Saber and Caro’s story was an exceptional and perfect ending to this beloved series. The only thing I would of liked was to see some of the other characters’ happily every afters (especially Ronan and Kadence). In the author’s note, Davies comments on how sad it is to say goodbye to these characters and the series; while I’ve not spent as long as Davies with the characters or had as deep as a connection; I too am devastated to say goodbye. This series has gotten me through some really difficult times over the last six years. I can still remember reading Eternally Bound for the first time in 2017 and how I instantly fell in love with Kadence and Ronan. The Alliance series has truly been the greatest gift for me and I will deeply miss them.In some ways, I’ve waited years to read a book this good. In fact I’m a bit apprehensive to see if any other book could ever measure up to Bound by Love in the future. So grab your tissues, ENJOY and hold on because this one like I said … it’s a rollercoaster.*Spoiler* This book does mention triggering content such as violence, torture, death (also mentions childrens’ death, but is not on page).Plot: 📚📚📚📚📚Character rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️World building: 🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎Sexiness: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Feels: 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤Writing style: 🖊🖊🖊🖊

SENSATIONAL
Such a bitter sweet moment. I really wanted to find out what happened for Saber and Caro and the rest of the Alliance. Do they survive? Can they defeat the savages and demons? Is it a happy ending? But I didn’t want it to end.I also love this series so the final book was savoured. From beginning to end I was immersed in the story, as is the case with all Brenda’s books. You will not be disappointed with this read, well your emotions will be spent. I cried. Laughed. Screamed and nearly threw my phone.Sensational ending to a truly wonderful series.
