Hydrapak insulated tube
I picked this tube up for snowshoeing adventures, and it works well, definitely better than the regular tube. I have had the mouthpiece freeze in temps of about 15 degrees F, it isn't "freeze proof", more of "freeze resistant". I have found it helps to drink through it regularly, and it also helps if you don't refrigerate your bladder beforehand. The water will freeze in the mouthpiece before it will freeze in the tube, so it might help to tuck the mouthpiece into your coat or something. Overall, if you want to use a bladder in the winter, I'd say this is a good upgrade.

Bite Valve Leaks
The hose is great in below freezing temps, but I should’ve gotten one that locks the water at the valve. Bite valve leaks every time and not just a little, it’s a consistent drip, so ended up being soaked or frozen stream on my jacket. Not fun.

Great tube for snow sports
I liked that my tube never froze while I was skiing. I have had tube in the past freeze and then I could drink the water so had the habit of blowing the water back in, but can't do that with this style. So grateful that it just works and was still useful.

Sometimes works when it's above 12 degrees fahrenheit
I like that the mouthpiece of this tube is angled. The cap fits much better than that of the Camelbak CRUX thermal tube kit. I also like the slightly shorter length than that of the CRUX. Water doesn't freeze in the mouthpiece as easily as it does with the CRUX. Overall, this is a much better tube than the CRUX. I keep the mouthpiece higher than the bladder, blow into the mouthpiece to empty it of water after each sip, drink often (every 5-10 minutes) and use warm/hot water. Using these precautions helps but doesn't guarantee the water won't freeze, especially below 12 degrees fahrenheit. Good luck!

Great insulation
Purchased this for my hydration pack and it was perfect. Clips in well, and does not freeze. Used it on a -10 f day snowboarding .

Still freezes in 20 degrees at the tip
It works better than nothing. Don’t bite the tip if it’s frozen. Gum it like grandma with your lips or as if you didn’t have teeth to soften the ice.

Like the insulation
The insulation in this tube is like a thick rubber (almost feels solid, but actually a foam). I’ll take the extra weight for the extra insulation. Very durable!

Nice and thick insulation. Bite valve cover could be more secure.
First off, the quick-connect piece is made by CPC, who also makes the CamelBak & Osprey connectors so this is compatible with all three brands. That said, I wanted an insulated hose for wintersport use of my hydration pack and the ArcticFusion tube has the thickest insulating layer vs. CamelBak & Osprey's insulated tube offerings. It's a couple of inches shorter than CamelBak's model, but still sufficiently long for convenient use.I like the cover of the bite-valve better on the CamelBak as it closes over the valve more solidly and is less prone to accidentally popping open. This is why I've given this a 4-star rating vs. 5.

Not great for anything least than -5C temperatures
I am a winter cyclist and runner and really wanted this product to live up to its promise of keeping water from freezing in the tube.

Awesome piece of kit
connect perfectly to my Salomon Bladder. It sit nicely over my shoulder and doesn't move while running (reduce chafing). I bought it for the cap to prevent me from getting soaked on my longrun. Works a treat!!

Bon ski!
