Product Description Most feltmakers call this PREFELT and it is what it says! Rather than the dense mass of heavily felted wool, in this flat sheet the fibres have been loosley melded together. Prefelt can be cut and felted into other fabrics, such as in Nuno Felting, where wool is felted onto light weight silk gauze. The fibres are loose enough that they can be teased apart for use in conventional wet or dry felting. Merino wool comes from Australian Merino sheep.
