I wanted a firm garment. This item is not firm.
Other maiden foundations have been firm. This one was a different design. Still using my own bra as usual.very disappointed.

Not as effective as my M&S equivalents
Maidenform Women's Firm Foundations-WYOB BodyBriefer BodysuitI have a whole variety of shape wear for wearing underneath various figure-hugging garments to smooth out the lumps and bumps. It took trying on numerous different styles and sizes before I found ones that suited me and fitted me. If you're new to shapewear or to this particular brand, be prepared to try on a range of different products and sizes to find the right fit for the particular garments you have in mind. This particular item seems aimed at those who have nice thighs but a bit of a wobbly tummy. It does give some smoothing, though I found it uncomfortable at the front where the fabric bunched up a bit at the top of the thighs, and not as substantial as my M&S equivalents.=== THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT ===* Attractive plain styling* No visible seams to show through your clothing* Can be undone using 3 hooks & eyes underneath so you don't have to take the whole thing off to go to the loo!* Smooths the waistline* Flawless finish, fabric and stitching* Stays in place with shoulder straps so there's no bunching at the top of the waist and a smooth line continues all the way up* Lovely neutral flesh colour that (at least if you are pale-skinned) means you can wear it under even white clothing without it showing through=== NIGGLES ===* It's tricky to open the hooks and eyes at the crotch* If you have wobbly thighs, there will be unsightly bulging where the tight knickers meet the thighs - that means you'll need to either have firm thighs or be wearing a skirt that flares out above the thighs* It's a bit of a Bridget Jones "big pants" look!* Is a bit loose around the bust line* I have an hourglass figure and didn't find the garment had much of an effect on my waist (though I couldn't have pulled a smaller size over my hips)* The garment is not as robust as my M&S equivalentsFor sale at the time of writing this review at £23.11 (RRP £45).

No hold
Fabric is far to thin and has no support or hold. Straps are thin and dig in. Awful hook and eye fastening under the crotch,

Too expensive
I preferred the old style. Held me in better!

Watch thise hooks...seriously
It looks like something your granny might have worn. But then again grannies tended to be smart.Once you get over the bemusement of the garment then you see the design. Its hugs your figure and gives you an hourglass figure. You need to wear your own choice of bra, a well fitted under-wired bra.The only drawback are the hooks in the groin. Be very careful with the hooking and un-hooking those little suckers. Ouch.Plus if you are not the most dextrous individual then leave plenty of time to nip to the lavatory. Seriously. Double the time you think you will need. But overall despite the fact that it does look like something your granny may have worn, you do get a fabulous silhouette.

Does the job but small and some problems...
My sister tried this out and this review is mainly based on her feedback.Firstly the fit on this is small, to the point of being uncomfortable to wear for more than a few hours. I would say get one size bigger than normal. The material and finishing are both good, of a similar quality to other stretchy slimming garments. Much better than the cheap generic brands you find in 'bargain' stores. The hook fastenings are a bit of a nightmare, I have no idea why they went with this design choice. Injury is unlikely, but possible. Irritation is definite.Unfortunately the small size makes this review a little hard to do as it's obviously going to affect the outcome of the 'smoothing'. With that in mind, I'll say that In terms of shaping, they do the job. Any tummy chubbage (that will be in the dictionary soon) disappears, and you get smooth sides right up to the bust.To conclude I would say if you can get the correct size then these are an option to keep in mind, particularly if you can get them in a sale. At the current price and with the hook choice I would say go with another premium brand instead.

Best Shapewear Ever!
I have been wearing one of these Maidenform Shapewear briefers almost everyday for over 4 years now. Its lightweight so that it can even be worn on a summer day, yet adds just the right amount of control to get rid of the love handles over pants, cinches your waist and smooths your back so you don't have lumps and bumps all over. I especially love that it has an open bust so you can wear your own bra. Other shapewear one piece body suits push down your breasts I don't need to have my breasts pushed down. The one piece body suit makes sure it stays in place and doesn't ride up. I have never had a problem with the plastic clips breaking or the material coming apart. Those with complaints about this may need to order a larger size. I do wash mine in a delicate cycle and hang to dry. Maidenform, please keep making this shapewear!

Cheap!
Straps snapped the first time I put it on. Very cheaply made.
