Wonderful Timepiece, very close to perfection, especially for the price!
What can be said for this truly wonderful timepiece that already hasn't? I've wanted to own an Orient timepiece for a while because of their classic styling, but they were mostly too large for my wrist. After learning about the 38mm Bambino and researching it, I couldn't wait to see it for myself. I love clean classic design, and this watch does not disappoint. Upon receiving the beautifully packaged watch, one look and it became clear to me that this Orient Bambino 38 exceeded my expectations. This is a truly wonderful watch. The size is perfect, and the face is elegant and clear. the ivory dial is not exactly matte -- it has a very slight subtle sheen, not to reflect light, but to make it elegant and give it a little richness. The markers glitter all day and play with light, and hands are a sharp sparkling deep blue that are easy to see against the creamy background. The movement is lovely, and the sweep of the second hand is gentle and soothing. So far, my watch has been keeping astonishingly accurate time. The hand winding is crisp and clean, with nice feedback and a large enough crown to get a good grip as you wind, and the automatic movement is great, with the exhibition back giving you a good view of the movement that is designed more for function that decoration, but it's still a wonder to see the gears of little precision machine on your wrist, and fun to view the feedback as you wind. The leather band is much better than other reviewers have led me to believe it would be. it's a little stiff and squeaky at first, but I wore it as I waited for the replacement bands to come in, I began to see its charm. The chestnut color is perfectly chosen to compliment the watch face, and the leather breaks in quickly, taking away the squeaky quality. I tried the other bands, and kept the OG band! it was charming, comfortable, and classic -- and lends the watch an air of proper playfulness. The case is elegant, graciously proportioned bezel and lugs, and there is a good mix of brushed and polished surfaces. It looks rich. The watch easily looks 3 times the price or more. And this is something I feel passionately about: I love their 2 lion and crest logo, I know that others have bristle at it, but for me, it speaks to the classic old fashioned charm, and gives this understated masterpiece a level of charm and flourish and feels timeless and retro and fresh all at once. It makes me smile. My strongest criticism is the same as other people have reported: I would pay extra for sapphire crystal. The domed crystal is gorgeous, but my love of this watch compels me to wear it as my daily go-to, and I would be able to do so with less stress if I had the assurance of the durability of a sapphire crystal.Overall, the look and feel of this watch is one of a classic timepiece, but with a subtle playful air of elegant proportions and a feel for never becoming outdated. All said, the value of this watch is beyond exceptional, but the watch is wonderful not only because it's a good value, The Orient Bambino 38 is wonderful because it it a beautifully designed timepiece with thoughtful proportions that will look great on everybody, and a vibe that has a sense of classic history. High recommend. Now, Orient needs to make a special edition 38mm with sapphire crystal and screw down crown!

accurate, reliable and looks classy and outstanding
This is an outstanding watch for the price point! I am very impressed - it looks even nicer in person than in the photos. The only small complaint I have that it sometimes audibly rattles when moving your hand, apparently due to the automatic-wind rotor that moves freely.

Awesome price to value ratio, and just beautiful to look at
I have a few watches, but haven't worn anything, but this, since I've gotten it. The size is perfect, and it looks sharp. I have been impressed with it's scratch resistance, as I have banged it around a few times, and it still looks spotless. I'll replace the band, in the future, but for now, it looks nice, and is comfortable enough, for me. I love the look, feel, and heritage of this watch. I do not regret my purchase, one bit.

Excellent, elegant watch
At 38mm it’s not gigantic on your wrist. Such a beautiful watch. Keeping great time. First Orient watch and I’m impressed with everything at this pricepoint. I may get a fancier band one day but for now the standard one works just fine.

A decent automatic/mechanical watch with just acceptable accuracy
I purchased Bambino Version 7 (black). I was looking for a classical retro-style dress watch and this 38mm version 7 (black) was a near perfect one (within my low budget restriction), as versions 8 & 9 looked more or less contemporary than classical. After testing for several days, I found the error was a bit over 20 but no less than 25 seconds per day, which is within the error margin of 30 seconds (that is normally accepted in the industry). So, I cannot complain a lot about it, but I have been expecting a bit better than that. (That's why 4 stars, instead of 5).Otherwise, everything is good. The watch itself is a bit bulky, but it is normal for a mechanical/automatic watch. The band quality is not "excellent" but "very good". (Of course, much better than cheap 20 dollars or less bands!) Most importantly, it looks very good to me! It matters most.

Made in Thailand, not Japan
The media could not be loaded. Watch seems nice. The watch I received is not the same as shown in the pictures. These watched are made in Thailand and clearly state that on the watch itself, which I think makes it look cheaper than if it has the "made in Japan" label the item image displays. I like the 38mm size but the strap is pretty stiff when you get it. It will take a while to break in.
