19 Feb 2016: Much as other customers have rated and recommended, I am also pleased with this product. I'm not able to say very pleased on account of the fact that the cable style knit outer layer makes it quite bulky. The packaging it came in as shown in the picture meant that if pulled apart when opening for the first time will snag the outer layer. The snagging problem may also be caused by brolly wallies who might bump into those wearing the garment. Wearing coats with anti-storm quality Velcro fastenings also bobbles the outer layer without extreme care. Otherwise, the product is as others have described, very warm to wear. The hat has a three quarter inner fleece lining under the outer knitted layer. The brim folded over is soft, thick and cosy to wear. 12 March 2016 update: the product has fallen apart - the fleece lining coming away from the outer knitted layer - after less than a month of use. Please don't bother.

I have a fairly small head for a women, so I expected a unisex hat to be a little large. However, it fits snugly and comfortably. It is a little bulky to wear under a bicycle helmet but it can just about fit!The hat itself is incredibly, incredibly warm, and I have been using it as a coxswain on 2.5 hour outings where the 'feels like; temperature is between 3 and -1 degrees Celsius. Whilst not explicitly waterproof, it has also kept my head nice and dry. This is the latest item in this range of clothing that I have purchased, and as someone with Raynaud's Disease I cannot recommend these products enough!

This hat looks and feels the part and although it may seem a little 'snug' when first used it soon 'eases' to fit comfortably, which of course makes it less prone to riding up and perching itself on the very top of the wearers head as hats with a 'loose' fit certainly do. It is very warm in a sheltered environment but on a cold windy day, when you need it to keep your ears as well as your head warm it fails to live up to it's billing and the wind whistles through the knitted part of the hat due to the larger more open weave, leaving the top of the head warm and the ears cold in the wind...but if worn with a hoodie it certainly helps.

This is a good hat. Lined with soft lining. Knitted with thick wool (probably not wool but who cares.) Very snug to the head (and I have a big head - physically) and this is essential to keep my ears warm.I will be using it for our British Weather however reckon it would be good enough for the ski-slops. It's very warm.My only thought is it could have been slightly more flatter at the top of the hat but it's not a deal breaker.Well worth the money.

First time ordered this for my partner about 1 and a half months ago and he loved it, so went ahead and ordered two more for my father, but the two I received today are from a completely different company, and theres nothing on the label that tells me if it's the same tog. Hopefully there are just as warm and I will be reposting about the last quality of this item.

WARNING - THIS IS A VERY HOT HATI brought this hat because it was almost icy outside. Had to take it off because it was too effective. It loses a star because it sort of peaks on the head unless you have long hair, and that's just a but too weird for. Good product but I think it should only be used in extreme conditions

I looked at the reviews and ordered this based on them, and I was not disappointed! This hat is definitely the best I have ever bought, so I immediately ordered another! I can highly recommend this if you are like me and thin on the top, and suffer in the cold weather. In very cold weather I used to wear 2 woolen hats, but with this one, no need, it does a great job on it's own.

delivery of the hat was very good 3 or 4 days from ordering. it fitted perfectly to my head (i am size 7 1/4 inches). when on my head it does what it says on the packet. it keeps me nice and toastie! also it is big enough to pull down over your ears. when this one wears out i would definetly buy another one. although it is slightly more expensive than other heat thermal hats which were too big for my head (the cheaper version i mean).
