First impression skewed negative
I bought this hoping to extend my Wifi diagnostics kit for Windows. Unless I'm missing something, it would seem that to make full use of the device, one has to purchase some (fairly expensive) companion software, eg no obvious way to change the dongle parameters without the companion software. This isn't atypical for these Windows based designs (eg Airpcap). I was able to use the dongle under Ubuntu 15.04and capture packets. I'm not quite clear exactly how toe Savvius differentiates itself from a common Wifi 802.11n dongle - at least underLinux, it doesn't seem to be any more capable than any other 802.11n dongle. Of course, it costs 2X-3X more. Check out your other options, unless you are planning to purchase the companion software.

Doesn't capture all packets in noisy environment, but guess no adapter does.

Better solutions if you need to monitor multiple channels
does what it's supposed to, but you need to know that it only monitors one wifi channel. Better solutions if you need to monitor multiple channels.

Did not meet expectations
It is stated in the release note that the card has an issue w/ decoding AMPDU packets so it's only so-so.
