Awesome set
this is a great expandable set that launched as a Kickstarter. I was skeptical about how these would work and I was really impressed. I would love to see better instructions, but it was easy enough to work out. Carpet is not a good surface to work on because the tracks won't line up well, so a hard floor or table is much better. Once you've got a full track, pull the car back a long way, more than once until it stops. If you just pull back once or not very far, it won't go far. Give it a good rev and the cars will go around even long tracks more than once! The blocks are easy for even little preschool hands, and littles love delivering groceries with the fun magnetic pieces!

A great set of blocks with subpar trucks
I really wanted to like this set, especially at this price. However, the 20 magnetic track cubes are about the only really good thing about this set. There is also a 2-cube size tower with a green top and a hollow part. If one of the trucks passes under this with one cargo, the cargo stays in the tower. They *could* have had that activate a switch and push up a bump in the track, so that a subsequent truck would hit the bump and push down the cargo, but this doesn't do that. The wind up trucks can travel about ten blocks on their own with enough wind-up, but they can't handle a turn. At any turn, they get caught and stop. Thus, pretty much the whole point of this set is rendered useless. The cars cannot run on any track that has a turn. The pictures show ramps, third-size blocks and other components. None of those appear in this set. This set has 20 cubes, 10 small fruit cargo items, 1 tower, 2 toy trucks that can't handle turns, and 3 orange cargo holders. The candy colored cargo tokens with candy icons are a severe choking hazard.Search for "magnetic blocks" and you'll find great sets of magnetic blocks with more blocks at a sixth of the price. Add in any toy care and you'll have a set that works about as well as this set.A very disappointing design.

Premium magnetic block set
There are a lot of magnetic block sets on the market right now, but this set is far more premium than any of the others I've seen. And the price tag matches that assessment. I received the 37-piece set.It seems like Qbi makes a couple magnetic block boxes, but this might be there most expensive set. The unique feature of this magnetic block set is that each face of the magnet blocks has grooved, outlined roads for two dump trucks to travel on. The dump trucks are pull-back, so if you pull them back a decent distance and release, they will propel themselves forward at a constant pace until they use all their potential energy. No batteries are used for the set. The dump tucks follow the outlined path, and they can hold magnetic tiles that have pictures of fruit on them. There is one special piece - an overpass block that as the trucks go through it, it will pick up their magnetic fruit "cargo" (tile). As long as the truck makes it all the way through the overpass, the magnet fruit always get captured by the drop-off point. It's a nice add touch to the set to make it interactive. To expand on the interactivity, there is a mission book, which contains directions on how to build some structures/tracks. It's an ok way to get started. What you'll find is that the builds are kind of small. There are 37 pieces in the set, but that number is a little deceiving. One piece is considered to be the mission booklet. Then the 10 magnetic fruit tiles are...10 pieces. There are really only 20 blocks to build structures or tracks with - or 21 if you count the magnetic cargo pick-up-piece. That doesn't go very far, but at least the magnets are fairly sturdy and you can build small bridges about 3 pieces across and it will hold. The strength of the magnets allows kids to play it on carpet ok, but it's better on a table or flat surface. To me, there are three main drawbacks. The first is that it's hard to pull back the trucks far enough in reverse so they move forward a decent distance. It's hard because you don't have enough blocks to make a major straight-away to build up potential energy in the trucks. And little kids can't pull back, hold the rear wheels, then pull back some more. Additionally, the trucks sometimes struggle to make it through curves. They need to have some speed to make it through the turns. And finally, the price is pretty high for this many pieces. It's a premium set and definitely nice, it's just hard to justify the cost. If you paired this set up with another set like it, then there would be enough pieces for long term replay value. Those gripes knock it down by 1 to 1.5 stars. It's still a cool, premium set, it's just matter if you want to invest in this product ecosystem and maybe expand the set later or not.

Makes a great gift
The first thing you notice when you get this box is how well-packaged and large it is. Everything is organized neatly, and the idea book has a thick cover to prevent damage. The pieces are easy to take out of the box. We transferred everything to a zippered pouch to save on storage space. Next, we looked for ideas in the idea book and started building the track. The kiddos enjoy the large magnetic pieces and the two cars included in the box.Overall, this makes a great gift, is packaged beautifully, and is fun and colorful! It's a great intro to stem and building!
