Long Best By Date
Wow! Bought these on sale at 1/3 today’s price and forgot about them. Just tried one and they are amazing! Nibbling tastes better than eating the entire bean at once. I didn’t peel them. Now I’m a huge fan - glad I bought them (which was because I read chocolate prices would soar).

Great quality! But they raised the price so much!
I really like this beans. The beans were of really high quality. I have to say that I bought them with the intention of eating it plain like I read some people wrote on their reviews do. But oh my gosh! Eating them plain is a torture! They taste awful! SĂł now I add them to my oats pancakes and to my protein shake.I ordered another bag today and I was shocked on how much they are costing now! I bought them last December and I paid less than $20, today they are costing $36,99! I would like to know what caused such an increase on the price!

Crunchy and Flavorful
Had no idea what to expect since I never had a raw cacao bean before. They were crunchy, fresh, and not bitter at all!! Very pleasantly surprised. Will be eating these raw!!! How healthy is that?!!If they have a fleshy cover you wouldn’t know it. Peeling unnecessary.Thumbs up on this product. Very pleased and impressed.

Good price/quality
Great quality

Very bitter which tends to indicate they have been roasted
Taste just like lightly roasted beens which have a definite bitterness... Still usable to create desserts or spike your coffee...

Using them to my cocoa liquor, so far so good, they made a great addition to my coffee liquor.

May not be fresh
I've tried nibs from other companies, and they carried a perfect cacao flavor. I tried these and they were horribly acrid, if not rancid. I tried roasting them hard and fast, slow and low, but only about 10% of them came out nicely. I practically had to burn them just to get the horrible level of bitterness out of them. I found that if I sprayed a little coconut oil on them before I roasted them, they came out with a much more bearable flavor. However, as a note from other reviews, freshness may be an issue for me. I live in central idaho, where I can't see a high volume of these things moving. Maybe if you were closer to the port of origin, you might get a better product. I'll give them one more try, but after that I might go on to another brand if I can't get these things to taste better.
