The X-Cube is a shape-shifting logic puzzle that adds 4 extra layers and 32 extra pieces to the original 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube. It can take on more than 5.94*10^38 possible permutations-- 13 quadrillion times more than the original. It is solved when it is restored into the "X" shape and has all colors oriented in the same direction. The X-Cube was invented in 2013 by Dane Christianson, a mechanical engineering undergraduate studying at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He launched successful Kickstarter campaign to mass produce the X-Cube. Makes a great gift for cubers and puzzle fans. Helps develop cognitive abilities in children and teenagers, keeps your mind sharp as an adult. X-Cube can be disassembled and reassembled.

Pros and Cons
Pros: This puzzle came in a very nice display box that I would love to keep for my collection and the quality of the puzzle is outstanding. The Stickers has the original Rubik's colour scheme and is durable. Includes 2 challenges getting the color back to its original state and getting the shape of the puzzle back into its x shape.Cons: It took this item 3 weeks to arrive at my doorstep and I have totally lost my patience. I live in Ireland directly next to UK, what is it taking so long to pack and ship to Ireland? The stickers caused a little problem for me. The orange stickers of my X Cube are a bit off the edge of the puzzle. I have to carefully resticker the puzzle to the centre of an edge piece and an corner piece so that each sticker is symmetrical. The puzzle is a little stiff the first time you opened it however the turning will improve the more you play with it.Overall I really enjoyed this puzzle, worth the money I guess.

A goog price for a puzzle like this I thought it would cost a lot more. Turning is Ok, it locks up a little sometimes so not great at corner cutting but never pops and actually it's surprisingly easy to solve. If you can solve a 5×5 and a 2×2×4 you just need to learn a couple more algorithms which you can pick up on youtube.

Fantastic X Cube
The X Cube is fantastic, jus what we wanted for a Christmas present.Its truly a pity we had to pay postage for this item.I will only buy on line in future if its free delivery.

Arrived broken
Arrived broken (loose piece). As it was really well packaged in a firm box with clear wrapping around it, this suggests that it's quite flimsy: piece appears to have fallen out of its own accord. Had to return for a refund and did not feel confident to re-order it. Real shame.

Great challenging toy
Not as easy as a normal Rubix cube but my son loves a challenge.
