MINC Machine 15 cm Starter Kit – Heidi Swapp MINC

I was skeptical about buying this at first given the high price tag, especially as I had read that you can achieve the same effect with toner foils using a standard laminator instead. I already owned a laminator so tested that first and found that I didn’t achieve good foil coverage across the design so took the chance buying this machine. From the first test of the Heidi Swapp machine, initial observations were that this got much hotter than a standard laminator and seemed to grip the item going through much firmer also, both of which resulted in total coverage of the foil design. This item also has 5 heat settings so can be adjusted to match the media you are foiling unlike a laminator. I also like the sleek and stylish design of the machine. Overall I’d say this is a must have for anyone using toner foil and don’t let the price tag put you off.

Unfortunately i have to return this machine. I purchased this when my larger Minc broke down. Smaller one seems quite cheap looking and when i plugged it in for the first time, it started smoking. Very dangerous. Won't be purchasing the smaller one again.

The machine works exactly as it should. The results are beautiful. This model produces smaller pieces (around 16cm x 16cm) so is perfect for greetings cards, gift tags etc. If you’re buying in the UK, you’ll need a Europlug adapter before you can use it. Those are easily got here on Amazon too. Great machine!

This worked well for the first 18month then the rollers started to melt.Reached out to American Crafts and they confirmed its not intended for everyday use/business purposes but for 'light crafting'

I bought this to do some foiling for cards at my wedding. I turned it on, changed the heat setting and it stopped working completely, wouldn’t even switch on! The buttons feel cheap and fun the price I expected it to be made more durable or at least work! Save your money and buy i normal laminator! It doesn’t deserve any stars, let alone one!!

On opening the packages I discovered the minc machine had a US plug...news to me...so disappointed.... following a call to customer services they advised to return the machines... as the machines were being withdrawn or none available and due to time restraints on my part i decided to solve the sutuation and did a bit of research... discovered if i bought adapter/converter plugs US to UK. The machines would b compatible and workable... this could all have been avoided if the machines had been clearly labelled..... machines working fine...

Buy the USA adapter and you are good to go. For me, #4 worked the best. Enjoy!

Cette machine fait exactement ce qu'elle est censée faire, avec brio et efficacité. De petit format, elle n'encombre pas mon espace de travail, c'est parfait.

Ho ricevuto oggi la Mini Minc e l'ho provata immediatamente, e devo dire che ne sono entusiasta...rispetto alle normali plastificatrici sul cui uso girano diversi tutorial ( ma i miei risultati sono stati piuttosto scarsi ) devo dire che effettivamente la differenza si vede!!!Certo rispetto alle comuni plasticatrici c'è una bella differenza di prezzo, ma li vale...Bisogna avere solo l'accortezza di accompagnare il foglio quando esce, difatti una volta si è incastrato...ma poi reinserendo la pellicola protettiva all'interno con il calore è tornata liscia come nuova..Poi ho fatto un errore da dilettante.. su una parte della stampa non ho inserito il foil e sulla pellicola si è trasferita la scritta!!! Ora devo solo sperimentare...
