Orthopaedic Open Coil Spring, Happy Beds Ortho Royale Medium Firm Tension Mattress - 3ft Single (90 x 190 cm)

Bought for my daughter after the cat decided to ruin another mattress by peeing on it! The one she had before (the one that was destroyed) was a memory-foam mattress, so she found this one like a rock! I explained it is just the transition from a Memory-foam to an Orthopaedic, which of course she knows ;) Anyway....she now sleeps soundly and says it is pretty comfortable but did prefer the Memory-foam....that's teenagers, as I would like it!All in all, a very good price and a good supportive Orthopaedic mattress, if you like a firm mattress!I had an email, just a day after ordering the mattress, to let me know that it was ready for delivery and so to phone to confirm a day. Annoyingly I did not see the email that day, so it could have been delivered a day earlier, but that was my fault. I phoned the number on the email to arrange another day and spoke to a extremely pleasant woman at 'Happy Beds' and she arranged delivery for the very next day!I was at work when it was delivered so my son signed for it. My son said the delivery guy was extremely pleasant and very good and that he even brought it in to the hallway for him - my son is 22 by the way ;)I got this reduced, £100 more or less, and this is a bargain as it is a quality mattress!'HAPPY BEDS' are a top reliable company and I would definitely use them again!

It took a while to search through the online pages and visit a few retail bed stores before I stumbled upon what appeared to be very good value and quality. This product is manufactured by Bedmaster, who are a decent UK brand.for mattresses and beds. This item is an orthopaedic, open coiled, sprung mattress which means it's very firm to lie on, and was just what I was looking for. There's quite a range of prices online, but in the end I bought a divan base and mattress set from Happy Beds,saving myself about 25% of the cost which other sellers were charging for this product. The money I saved went on a new headboard.For the few who claim the Ortho Royale isn't firm, you really need a divan base to support it. It's pretty well an essential requirement for this type of mattress, and beds with a slatted type base aren't suitable. With a proper solid support base all I can say is that the mattress is every bit as firm as I desired. I find that once your body gets used to an orthopaedic mattress you won't want to go back to sleeping on soft ones again. The Ortho is certainly firm but very comfortable and relaxing and I know I'll get a better night's sleep from this type of mattress than a softer one.I'm really pleased with this mattress and can happily recommend this product.

After having been very disappointed with the longevity and comfort of an expensive mattress from a well known high street retailer, I took a gamble on this mattress for my daughters bed.I really only chose it because the reviews were so favourable and whilst I didn't want to waste my money, this was so reasonably priced that if it only lasted a couple of years it wasn't a huge amount of money down the drain.It seems fantastic quality and whilst she hasn't slept on it yet, I very nearly took a sneaky afternoon nap. It is sooooo comfortable.My husband and I paid 8 times this amount for our bed from the above mentioned retailer, I will never ever go back to them ,the mattress has not lasted 3 years.Happy Beds certainly have got it right, a traditional, firm but comfortable mattress that is turnable with no memory foam or latex in sight!!.We will be ordering another for my sons bed next payday!!

We bought two of these for our 3 year old twins. I think they are good value for children. My mum slept on one for 3 weeks and found it caused her to have back and hip ache due to it not being firm enough (she said she would sag in the middle). Perhaps not the best for adults then. The twins have been sleeping soundly on them though, thank goodness!

The mattress arrived on the day requested and was found to be far too big for the bed. I suppose the lesson to be learned is do not buy beds and mattress from different suppliers on the internet.Happy beds exchanged the mattresses but at increased cost for an inferior mattress. It was still too big for the bunk bed but at a pinch it was just acceptable.I do not understand why a large company like Happy Beds were not able to supply a mattress better suited to the bed. Ikea have plenty at a cheaper price! Still you live and learn.Fraser Morgan

Ortho Royale 3ft Single Mattress Orthopaedic I was nervous about ordering something that I wasn't able to check properly before buying but after reading other reviews I was confident to give it a go. I needn't have worried the previous reviews were right and I was over the moon when it arrived. The mattress was for my 4 year old boy, it is a very nice thick mattress with plenty of padding above the springs and makes this mattress unbelievably comfortable. Throw in the price of the mattress and if anyone has any doubts at all you needn't worry, order with confidence and you will not be dissapointed. I checked some local shops before I purchased this and the quality of the matresses was not a patch on this and they were at least £50 more expensive.

Ordered 2 mattresses are fine as expected, delivery poor van broke down first attempt after staying in most of day phone call received and told to expect call to rebook, no call when promised, however reply to my email was quick and polite. Second attempt only brought one mattress, 2nd was left behind but brought following day. Problem for large items like this is having to stay in long periods of time three times.
