GYPC300 Hockey Helmet Cage & Face Shield Protector Combo

The shield itself great. The plastic hardware for the shield to attach not so great. Both clips cracked the moment I went to lift the shield up after installing. Also plastic snap for the strap broke while adjusting it to fit.Need better hardware for 5 stars.

It arrived with one of the clips that snap shield to helmet broke. Once I swapped it out with one from an old shield, my son loves the cage on the lower part and the clear shield on the top. So far, other than the broken parts, it’s great!

I was a little reluctant to order a generic branded visor, but I liked that hybrid style after borrowing a friends and really didn't want to spend the money on an ITECH one since I'm only doing beer league level of play these days.It arrived missing one of the top mount plastic hinges. The only option was to send it back for another one instead of just requesting that one piece. But, the replacement one arrived very quickly.The hardware kit is great for helmets that didn't have a cage to begin with as it includes the cage clips, longer screws, strap studs and t-nuts.I put it on an old Bauer HH3000M and it fit just fine. I'd imagine newer models would be just as easy to install it on.The chin cup is comfortable, the visor gives a good field of vision, there's pretty decent airflow and there was no fogging. The visor didn't scratch up despite some rough handling and it was clear to see out of (no distortion).This is a pretty good buy if you're looking for a hybrid cage.

Very sturdy shield. easy to install. The hybrid style works well for visibility and lower fogging.

My hockey kid was excited to try this out but after just a couple of uses at practice, a piece of the hardware that attaches the shield broke off and it cannot attach any longer. I could try to search for a new piece but I don't know if it's worth it, if it might just break again. I haven't decided yet.

This shield is absolutely amazing. I bought this for my son, but quickly realized it is to long for his face, so I kept it for my self. The shield is crystal clear and the cage fits my helmet perfectly. My son and I have different brand helmets, and this cage mounted seamlessly to both brands, and it included all required mounting hardware.

First off, I was very impressed with the quality of this face shield compared to the ones made by Bauer and CCM. This really is one of the best alternatives and was super easy to install on my CCM helmet compared to other face shields I had in the past. So far after 3 games it's held up nicely and hasn't fogged up very much even during games. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great face shield combo for their hockey helmet!

This is exactly what I was looking for in a face shield. The 1/2 plexi 1/2 cage helps keep the visor from fogging up and the cage makes for easy oxygen intake. It was easy to put on my helmet and the fit is perfect. Highly recommend.
