Tulsi Organic Original Loose Leaf Tea 100 g (Pack of 2)

I first started drinking Tulsi in India and if you don't have access to a living plant then this is the next best thing. It is great as a drink but it can also be used as a culinary herb or poultice. The addition of Vana Tulsi (Ocimum gratissimum) is interesting and adds to the flavour and offers supplementary health properties, but it isn't really a proper 'Tulsi' in the traditional sense. But there is a lot of interesting work being done to study the medicinal effects of Ocium gratissimum. The confusion comes from the fact that both plants are in the same family and are both called 'Holy Basil' in English. More properly It should be called Vriddhatulsi. Vana means forest, which correlates to one of its English names, 'Wild Basil'. As a personal preference I would prefer if it was 100% Ocium sanctum and use Ocium gratissium separately, but this is still a fantastic organic product and I am happy to use it and recommend it. I bought this tea in desperation, as I was suffering with the symptoms of adrenal exhaustion. I can safely say that drinking this tea on a regular basis will help de-stress you, and repair that last frayed nerve! Best taken if you've made the effort to give up coffee first - I've replaced my morning cup of coffee with a cup of tulsi tea instead, and feel so much better for it.

I adore this tea, I become fond of it whilst in India but only tried tea bags there. Once home I ordered the loose tea and it is so much better., a lovely gentle tea that tastes so good, very relaxing, will be buying regularly. Good to buy two tins at a time and save some money.

If the second tin was as good as the first tin I would have given 5 stars. The second tin I opened was a different colour, smell and taste to the first tin, it was horrible, couldn't drink it.

I have an unidentified pair of eggs in the tea! After my morning tea was removed from the pot I have two egg-like items in the tea. They look like small frogspawn. Amazon tells me the return window is closed so what do I do with a newly opened tin of tulsi tea that is horribly contaminated?

Extremely refreshing. I recommend this to anyone. Certainly feel better now that I have been drinking it for a couple of weeks.
