Fresh hydration on the go
Having tucked this clever bottle into my kit for a three-day hike, I noticed the difference immediately. The usual plasticky taste of water was gone, replaced by what can only be described as a mountain stream freshness. Despite refilling from less-than-ideal sources, I stayed in fine fettle, with the bottle’s filter seemingly working overtime to keep nasties at bay. It's lightweight and doesn't leak, which is a relief. The indicator for filter life is a thoughtful touch, nudging me to replace it without guesswork. It's become a steadfast part of my outdoor gear now, reassuring me with its sturdy make and reliable purification process. Ideal for anyone who wants to stay hydrated without the worry of water quality during their outdoor escapades.

Good idea, more info needed
Tap water is great where I live so I got this bottle for travel and camping/outdoor activities, to reduce the need for carrying water on hikes etc. There are several established brands for this type of product so when I looked at this Pure Clear bottle, I was unsure because I had not heard of it. When it comes to drinking water from potentially contaminated sources, as a customer I want complete trust and confidence in the manufacturer. The instructions leaflet which came with the bottle did not provide much information about the manufacturer, although it did have the website address. It was only by going on the manufacturer's website that I was reassured about the quality of the filter and it gave me confidence to use it (it's the UK's leading water filter bottle apparently!) . It also has other very useful info about replacement cartridges, sustainability etc, all information that is missing from the Amazon listing and the product packaging. I feel that in order to promote the product, more emphasis should be placed on making this information more accessible to customers to reassure them.As for the actual bottle, I found it straightforward to use and replace the filter. It's a decent size, 769ml, and it comes with a carabiner to hang it on bags/belts etc. Cleaning it is not super easy, but this is usually the case with most water bottles of this design anyway.

Good quality
My daughter uses this every day for college. It's had a few knocks but it hasn't affected it all. It's also been through the dishwasher numerous times and it's been absolutely fine - no leaks what so ever. The replacement filters are a bit pricey, but it's still so much cheaper than buying bottled water. Personally, I think its a good investment and a great product.

It's ok but expensive for what it is! 🙃
The best thing about this water bottle for me is the filter aspect. It's good to be able to drink filtered water 'on the go'. The water tastes ok from it too. The bottle is a good size and appears to be leakproof too, which is good.I've dropped two stars though as I think it's expensive for what it is. Apart from the filter, it's just a bog standard water bottle! The water bottle itself is nothing special. There are other bottles that are a similar size and bigger that are also leakproof and are better than this. It isn't even insulated, so it can't keep the water cold. In a hot/warm environment, you'd be sucking up warm water. I think for the price, they could have used an insulated bottle.I also don't like the fact that you have to suck the water up out of the spout. You have to make sure the bottle is positioned well when you're sucking. It you lift it too high it squeaks and you sound like Tweety Bird 🤣. I find the sucking aspect hard work to be honest. I just want a bottle that I can put to my mouth and the drink flows out freely.I could hardly see the markings for the indicator and I've got good eyesight. People with poor eyesight would struggle even more. I had to hold it up to the bright light to see it and even then it was difficult to see. 👀You need a bottle brush to wash the bottle and a straw brush to clean inside the spout bit properly. They could have included them for the price, I think. Also, the filter is not readily available on Amazon. I found the filter elsewhere for £14.99 plus postage. I can't see myself paying that 🙈. Maybe if the water bottle was better quality and insulated but not to use it with this plastic one. This filter bottle might be some people's cup of tea but it's not great for me! There are other water filter bottles available on Amazon for less than a third of the price. The filters for those are a lot cheaper too. You can also get insulated bottles with filters on Amazon for less price than this too. 🙃

A high-quality water bottle with advanced filter
I've been using the Active bottle for 2 weeks now and I'm really enjoying it.I live in a very hard water area and the tap water tastes and smells awful. Not anymore. With this water filter bottle I'm drinking more water than cups of tea (and I love my tea). I take lots of supplements and travel on public transport a fair bit, so I rely on water intake a lot. I've tried other water filter bottles but this is my favourite portable one.Its electroa-dsorptive technology filter removes bacteria, parasites, viruses and much more. It's light weight, solid, leak proof, easy to clean, simple to use. It looks good too.The Pure Clear Active bottle is BPA and BPS free. It is also completely free of hormone contamination (estrogenic and androgenic activity) and is recyclable. To prepare the bottle to use for the 1st time, you need to activate the filter by putting it in a bowl of water for 2 minutes, then you're ready to go.It has a filter life indicator so you know when the filter needs replacing. Each new filter cartridge has a lifespan of 200 litres or 2 months but can be prolonged by drying the filter out and storing it after use. You can also use the bottle without the filter. In terms of quality it is an innovative construction and top of its class. However, there is one thing about the bottle that I'm not so enthusiastic about - the silicone mouthpiece. You become familiar drinking from it, but the straw doesn't allow you to take a big swig, so be prepared for that.Regarding the price it is a good investment.
