It all starts with an authentic Cartier scarf woven in fine soft silk and finished with a hand rolled hem. The iconic panther, of which the Duchess of Windsor commissioned a broach featuring it perched atop a cabochon gem that weighed 152 carats, is centrical to the scarf, as is the cabochon gem. The scarf depicts a scene of giraffes, elephants and butterflies, all roaming free with emerald eyes. The colors are a vivid ivory, beige,yellow,red, green and taupe. The next step is converting the scarf into a pillow. The scarf is then lined with Italian linen to prevent fragility and create opaqueness. It is then also backed with Italian linen fabric of the same shade of taupe. An invisible zipper is added to the top of the pillow so that it can be dry cleaned and preserved. A down pillow form is then inserted into the pillow and zipped in. This pillow is 34" x 34", nearly 3 feet square. It is a showstopper, a conversation piece unlike any other pillow you will ever see for it is one of a kind. It turns a typical room into a designer masterpiece.
