Very happy Springer Puppy.
We bought this for our our young Springer Spaniel. Since he wasn't a working dog, we wanted a slightly lower energy diet than that chosen by the breeder (Dr Johns). The puppy is now 5 months old and Burns has been fantastic. The transition from Dr Johns to Burns went perfectly, no stomach problems or poop problems. We have no trouble at all getting our puppy to eat the food, he loves it, and we often use it as training treats. His coat is amazingly glossy and in great condition. His growth is faster than is to be expected of a springer pup, there are no problems with him putting on weight or gaining height. The size of the kibble is perfect for things like treat dispending balls.10/10.Update at 10 months: This food is still amazing. His fur is great, has grown well, his tummy healthy, and his energy levels are great.

Great Complete Puppy Food
Great puppy food which gives my puppy English Springer Spaniel all she needs. Our puppy is currently five months old, and this is the only food she has had since she was weaned. She's been developing well, and I put that down to using a high quality food. We plan on continuing to use Burns puppy until her growth plateaus at around 12 months.I am definitely of the belief that if you put rubbish in, you get rubbish out...A word of caution is that you need to be sensible when using the recommendation for amount of food per day. Our pup is certainly on the slimmer end of the spectrum, and we are feeding her almost double the guideline amount (8kg dog, 5 months old, 75g three times a day) as she is a very active breed and rarely sits still.

Great for small pups
I got my puppy at 6 weeks old and bought this as ordinary puppy food kibble just seemed to big for her. This worked out perfectly and within a few weeks, I moved her up to the bigger sized puppy kibble

SUITED MY OLDER DOG BUT NOT THE PUPPY
I have a 17 week old Cockerpoo puppy, I heard good things about this brand so went for it. I also have a 10 year old french bulldog bitch who has health issues and is underweight. The manufacturer recommends this for older dogs who are underweight as well. The puppy immediately developed the diarrhoea it did not suit him at all. But my older dog has absolutely thrived she's put on weight her skin irritation has improved as well. The puppy is back eating the brand I was feeding him previously. So overall I'm happy.

Good value for healthy puppies
One of the best dry foods for puppies and it's not as expensive as you might think because you don't need to feed as much as the cheaper brands (useful for little tummies). My first puppy did eat twice as much as recommended, but grew at a steady rate without getting fat. My present little girl is a very poor eater (even the breeder had problems) but once I started adding this to the Burns kibble (a smaller biscuit for very young/small puppies) her appetite is much improved. I noticed that both puppies also have lovely shiny coats.

Excellent for dogs
My chocolate lab puppy had very mushy soft stools when she came to live with us. Kept her on breeders' food as advised and after a few weeks still no change. Got antibiotics too but no difference. Her coat was dull and she was constantly itching. I decided to change her to Burns after a few recommendations and what a difference! Shiny coat, no itching and firm stools! I gave up hope of that ever happening. I ran out of last week and had to buy another well-beloved name and within a day her stools had gone back to mush. I will not change from Burns as it really does her good which you can physically see. Brilliant!

Happy Puppy food
This is an excellent company making a variety of foods for dogs. I have used Burns for several years and it is the only food that my old Labrador could eat without any untoward consequences i.e. Burns makes good food for sensitive tummies so it was only natural that I turned to Burns for my Scottie pups. I am not disappointed and the pups are thriving. This is their third different kibble. They began with the tiny mother & baby kibble followed by Burns Puppy MIni but they are now thirteen weeks old and need something bigger. This was the natural successor and they love it!I recommend it whole heartedly - great for puppies!
