Brilliant item
Had one of these for 20+ years. Got same one as I have absolutely no reason to buy any other type of opener

These are great and far better than hand can opener
First one lasted 12 years and to be fair, I could have salvaged it but it was started to corrode around the cutting wheel so decided to opt for a new one!Easy to use and cantilevers out the way when you don't need it!!

not same quality
manufactured in China, not of same quality as previous that was made in USA., I suppose that is the norm for companies who want more profit.

Practical design slight knack to using first time, but very effective.
Traditional wall fitted can opener that I bought to replace an ancient much loved one for my mum. Slight knack to using but then very effective. Screws a bit on the short size for my liking so I replaced with some longer ones of my own, but good for the price and (hopefully) not much to go wrong or break down with it!

Very poor indeed: wouldn't open anything after a few months use.
I like the idea of a wall mounted opener. Our house had one in the 90s that had obviously been there for decades and still worked perfectly. Until my wife banged her head on it and was so annoyed she threw it in the bin. Actually, she banged her head several times, and each time I would retrieve it from the bin because I liked it, but eventually I tired and let it go. I still like the idea (I didn't bang my head on it at all) and the opener worked well for a couple of weeks, especially on flat pie-tins. After a couple of weeks it wasn't working so well on certain tins and after a few months stopped working on any tin, regardless of its shape. It looks like the blade might be adjustable but I couldn't see any way that it was so I threw it in the bin myself, this time. Very, very poor.
