Very pleased with this
Bought this to replace our plastic one which had broken. Looks like a good quality build, seems to be much tougher so will be very surprised if it doesn't last for much longer than the plastic one. It also seems to cut through more easily and cleanly. I like the handy depth guide which is cleverly designed to help you avoid going all the way through the bottom of the pineapple and hence spilling juice everywhere. Incidentally, if you're not going to consume the whole pineapple immediately, I find that only slicing and removing the amount required means the flesh left 'in situ' seems to remain fresh longer than if you remove it all and store as slices, even in the fridge.

Essential tool for pineapple lovers.
I bought this product after trying to manually chop pineapples with a knife and wasting more than we used.This high quality, purpose made utensil effortlessly stripped out the pineapple flesh leaving the core and skin behind. The previous pineapple corer I had (different brand) failed because the 2 sprung plastic nipples on the handle that engage on the column, broke. I see that this one has the same system. This is the only weak point that I can see.The gadget works very well and this one is particularly strong.

Brilliant Pineapple Corer from a reliable company.
I wish I had purchased this peeler, corer sooner, it is very sturdy and does a good job of removing the pineapple. The service from Gesalt Products was exceptionally good, with email recipes and follow up mail to make sure the product had been received on time. I would definitely purchase from them in the future.

A joy to use
This fulfills a need I didn't know I had but I tried it on a whim and it is a kitchen gadget that really works. So easy to use and it produces really nicely cut pineapple that is a joy to eat as you're not constantly spitting out those little bits of skin.
