Posting the same shoe bought 18 yrs ago and the one I bought in 2024!First, what has changed!1. As you can see the sponge padding inside the shoe, almost 80% is removed!2. Leather thickness is 50% less.3. The sandwiched layer of outer sole of the shoe, (the black spongy part) is hard as hell...even my 18 yr old shoe is more springy than the new one!4. the flap is made of cloth instead of leather and the toe side outer part is cheap rough nubok leather which makes shoe look werirdly different.5. Weight is of course almost 50% less than the original one!Now the detailed review!I have bought total 2 pairs of these shoes so far and now the third pair!The first one was in 1995 and the next one was in 2005 or 06!1995 model was AWESOME!It was heavier, softer more springy and highly comfortable.I used it for 11 years and lost the pair while travelling. so without even exploring any different model I reordered the same model in 2005 or 06!in 2006 I found the shoe was a bit different! (the one in the picture)It was machine stitched (1995 model had many hand stitched sections) and a little bit different insole. However, it was still awesome and worth every single penny!I remember buying it for 1999/- in 2006!NOW,In 2024, I again bought this model for 2200/- assuming I will get the exactly same shoe BUT as I came to know from sources, Woodland has decided to kill this model as people dont come back to buy another shoe from woodland because it lasts forever!Now woodland makes all shoes that has fixed lifecycle! meaning they WILl die in few years and wont last forever!So they have made some horrible changes so that shoe will have a limited lifecycle.following are the changes!1. Now leather is excessively slimmer, its like a thinnest possible leather I have ever seen!2. The inner padding of sponge is COMPLETELY removed! So that shoe bites your ankle bones while walking.3. The walking experience is like walking on a hard surface as compared to spongy feel that sole gave in the older models.4. Due to thinning of walls of the shoe, it will not remain in its original shape but it will disfigure soon.5. Its no way the best experience anymore!Still, I havent returned it as there is absolutely no shoe in the markst that has similar comfort level!Solution:1. Buy a decent thick memory foam insoles for the shoe, they are MUST otherwise the shoe edges will hurt the ankles.2. Use thicker cotton ankle socks instead of thin nylon socks.3. Dont tie lace too tight, it will disfigure and may break the holes of lace.4. There is nothing else you can do, this beautiful model is dead, RIP Woodland 777 model!I am really nostalgic and sad and even had tears in my eyes that I can no longer have that experience that I have for the past 29 years!The old 2006 model is shown in the photos is still working, sadly its sole got separated and I tried to fix using feviquick which spread all over the shoe making it look so bad.

Pros: -1. Camel color is good for dusty area, dirty shoes will not show up.2. If your legs smells with synthetic snickers (running shoes), then this woodland show is the best. Since its made of suede leather, it has natual pores and your legs will never stink.3. Woodland shoes are the best. They have maintained quality for past 20 years.4. This shoe fits perfect for me, though Woodland boots are usually larger than feet.Cons: -1. Shoe sole is harder than usual, so not good for running.

In add and real colour is different. Overall quality of product is Good.
