Fantastic product for analine/semi-analine leather
I've had my analine sofas for 4 years without treating them so they were looking a little dry and had lost the soft feel that you get with untreated leather.I used this wax and the visual results were immediate. The dried out looking leather went from a light tan back to the deep brown colour from new.I left the wax on for an hour or so then just buffed it with a soft cloth to remove any extra residue that might be left. The leather was restored to its glory and, over the following 24 hours, continued to regain its full soft and warm feel.Fantastic product and I'll be buying another tub

Just buy it and enjoy your leather furniture the way it used to look!
How impressive is this leather balsam? About as impressive as you can get! Our leather suite must be about 10-12 years old now. In good condition but EXTREMELY malnourished. We live in Spain and the INDOOR temperatures this year have been in the mid 30s! During the winter the temperature drops to about 6 degrees and we have a log burner on all winter. One of our sofas is right next to the log burner so you can imagine how dried out the leather becomes. Added to this I have a reoccurring back injury which I need to put a hot water bottle on. I always cover the back of the sofa with a bath towel to try and protect the leather from the hot water bottle but it only does so much and sadly the leather has dried out more in that area.I tried a chemical cleaner/revitalizer last year and it did a very good job for a short time but noticed that it has begun to deteriorate badly lately . I saw this Chambers leather balsam advertised and read the very impressive reviews so thought I would give it a go as I had nothing to lose. Well, I was absolutely amazed at how the appearance has improved! Unlike previous reveiwers I did have to use the whole 200ml tub on 2 sofas and an armchair. There wasn't enough to do the backs (behind the sofas) and the side of one chair but otherwise everything else was done. I now have a brand new looking suite which smells lovely too! I bought the vanilla one which is very subtle but nice. I did think that it would have been great to have had the choice of a leather smelling one as the leather looks so new as the smell would then match the appearance! I will be re-ordering another tub to finish what I could not finish with the first, and should also have enough to go over the worst areas a second time to try and prevent the hide drying out too much this winter. I have been so impressed with the results that I have decided to treat the suite once a year as general maintenance. I just wished I had heard of this years ago as I probably could have avoided the damage the hot water bottle has done. But even though those sections are cracked, the leather is much more supple. I keep running my hand over the suite because it feels so nice! Lol!I applied the balsam by hand as other reviewers have suggested and it worked in very easily. I found it best to do as suggested, take a small amount in your hands and rub into both palms evenly. Then do a sort of swipe across a small area then another swipe next to the first with the other hand. Then go back over it and spread it as far as it wants to go and repeat steps on the next adjoining area. It was REALLY easy to apply! It was sort of like the wax was added to evenly apply the oils to the leather. I didn't have any patches at all and my suite it dark navy so you would have thought it would have shown any patches up. Just shows it is worth the extra effort in applying it well. I left the balsam on the sofa and chair which weren't so bad, for a couple of hours before wiping off with a large microfibre cloth. It was just right for the job and left no lint behind (just as well with navy blue! lol!) I did change the cloth several times to ensure all the residue was removed. You will feel if is all off or not. It was surprisingly easy to wipe off too which was a relief! Although I should say it took several hours to ensure I got into all the little nooks and crannies but worth every minute spent on it. The worst sofa, I left the balsam on all day and it was just as easy to remove as with the rest of the suite. So if you have any reservations about trying this product, don't! Just buy it and sit back and enjoy the results as I intend to do, hopefully for many years to come. A BIG thank you to Chambers leather balsam!

Quality, safe and effective product
Really good quality product in a good-sized tub. Safe to use and very effective in feeding and protecting the leather on my sofas. Kind to skin as well. Doesn't have the strong chemical smell of some other leather treatment products, just a mild vanilla scent. Bought two as I wasn't sure how far it would go - but treated two two-seater sofas, a chair and a stool with barely a third of a tub. I softened it for 20 seconds in the microwave first which made it really easy to apply. i will definitely buy this again although I won't need to for a while.
