Fantastic Hand Blown Mug That Any Climber Will Appreciate
I have been looking for a good climber pinch mug. When I came across this one, I knew I had found what I wanted. I am very pleased with the quality of this mug. It's great to know it isn't just ANY mug, but one that was hand blown. It feels solid in my hand and has just the right amount of weight. It's a plus that it is dishwasher safe.Holding the mug as intended does indeed give you some finger exercise, and hot coffee takes a bit of focus. I keep forgetting and reaching for a handle, but there isn't one LOL.At any rate, if you're looking for a unique mug that is sure to be a point of discussion among friends, this is a good choice. For the best idea of what this mug is like, I'd suggest watching the seller's video.

Why do I love this...?
This mug takes a lot of focus, will, and determination and in the mornings that's sometimes asking a lot. It takes some getting used to, as the grip doesn't always provide the best surface when it's damp. It's definitely a different mug and a lot of fun to work with. The only suggestion I might add is sanding the grip or giving it a matte finish to help mitigate the effects from condensation, but other than that I like it.

Got it for the novelty but it’s actually so cool.
Honestly this makes me want to drink more water just for the challenge of lifting this cup. My grip strength is… not great. So it’s a challenge and a somewhat fun one.If you’re a pro-climber trying to maintain your grip I have no idea if this will work for you I am weak in this department. Anyone else should try it out I think it adds a fun little challenge to drinking water.

More of a show piece
I've used this mug for a cup of hot tea and it's not easy to maneuver with a hot beverage. The steam condensates on the exterior, including the rock formation handle. Definitely not easy to grip with one hand unless at least the pinky is holding the bottom of the mug. Nice looking piece, just not very practical. Maybe if stone were used in the handle it'd be easier to grip.

heavyweight great novelty gift for unusul sport&functional as exercise for fingers
Likes:Thick clear heavyweight glass.Very Cool gripgreatnovelty gift for an unusual sport.functional as finger& hand exercise for several needsDislikes:Can’t keep in freezer. My adult kids are rock climbers who like to climb the end of our 3 story real rocked house as well as inside at rock climbing centers& other rocky areas outside,& though I am attracted to having this mug around for them as an interesting novelty for their unusual sport, my main reason for ordering this mug is for myself as a hemiplegic on left side trying to do all I can to exercise & maintain strength on my strong right side hand. The mug is very heavy & takes a bit of strength to grip well I’d advise being very careful until you’ve testedwhat it takesto manage itbecause it’s surprising.my adult son, who as a professional drummer likes to keep up his hand strengthfor that as wellas rock climbing.really likes this mug.My small-framed adult daughterrock climbs as well& needs strength in her hands in maintaining bee hive frames as well as dexterityin the delicate work of her job.so this mug is suited to adult male& female sized hands. It’s a favorite at our house! So it’s actually functional for the purpose of hand exercising. & fun as a novelty for an unusual sport.Dislikes:However, & this is likely my own fault for not reading the description well enough, I like to keep heavyweight glass mugs in my freezer to be used for creating a good foam head when pouring a beer & this mug says it should not be frozen or used in microwave,so that threw me a bit of a curve. we have not used in microwave, but have used mug to hold a hot beverageheated elsewhere[not heated in the mug itself. though caution needs applied. even heating outside of glass & just pouring hot tea into the heavy glass does heat it up & it tends to hold the heata bit. & with the unusual grip caution is advised. So this may not be a reasonable reason to deduct a star, but I am VERY disappointed I cannot freeze this mug like my other heavy mugs.

handles are aid
This mug is awesome. No handle, just a molded "rock" pinch hold for you to hoist your beverage to your mouth. It's a little heavy when it's full of liquid and can be slick with any perspiration on the glass, but if you can't "handle" it, it just means you need to spend more time at the crag/gym. Honestly, you can just grab it like a regular glass too but what fun is that.
