My husband works from home next to a window with a wide ledge, and he loves getting visits from our neighborhood birds and squirrels. We’ve struggled to find the right food for our visitors — bread’s not healthy, they’re surprisingly picky about fruits and vegetables, and nuts are expensive. We settled on unsalted sunflower seeds, but we were buying them in small amounts at the grocery store and always running out. A friend gave us a different seed mix with smaller seeds, but the squirrels hated it so much that they stopped visiting entirely. So this mix was yet another attempt to find something mostly healthy, at a reasonable price, that everyone likes….Luckily this one was a huge success! The squirrels are back and the number of bird “regulars” has gone way up. Both my husband and our cats consider these visits to be a highlight of each workday, so when the birds and squirrels are happy, we’re happy too. The only downside is that the fragments of shells can get messy, but we just sweep them off the windowsill once in a while with a tiny broom. Highly recommend this mix for anyone looking to spoil your own outdoor visitors.

I have a couple squirrels that live in a large tree in my yard and I bought this food to give them a treat. I put the food out and animals go crazy over this stuff. I counted over 30 squirrels along with chipmunks, crows and rabbits. They devour it like squirrel candy. Buy 2 of them….

I like this product because the squirrels in our yard love it and they leave our bird feeders alone.

I've asked the squirrels if they like this food (since the opposums and raccoons come out at night) but all I get from them is a tail shake and they fly up a tree. So not sure if that's a happy/content reply or they're telling me to kiss something?! Oh well, tends to keep them out of the bird feeders a bit.

I was surprised by all the pumpkin seeds and very little corn and no peanuts . It was a much smaller bag. The squirrels liked it anyway.

Yes, my squirrels go for this product but they surely don't go for the dried corn in this product. I ended up fostering (raising) three baby squirrels (born late this fall, unfortunately for them) on my back patio and they are eating (not the dried corn) this food. This is the second product I've purchased from this company (the first was strictly pumpkin seeds) and my (fox) squirrels really like it.
