Doesn't work if you are trying to onvert an IKEA light shade - ceiling or lamp. The gap around the edge of the ring is too narrow, so does not fit around an IKEA ring, also the gap in the ring is too small, so you cannot compress the ring enough to make it fit inside the IKEA shade.I have had to cut an additional piece of the Ring Reducer and then attempt to glue it in to the IKEA shade. Does not feel secure enough and concerned about the heat from the light bulb melting the glue.....Cannot recommend these if using with IKEA products.Sadly I had to cut and glue one of the rings....so can't send back for a refund now. Also, as the groove is too small, it reduces the size of the hole too much....so can't be used even if glued in to the centre of the shade ring.

Got these because I had an ikea lampshade that didn't fit and I didn't want to change the whole cord hanging from the ceiling. It didn't fit. Cut the ring to make it smaller and it fit in the lampshade then but it still doesn't fit around my cord. Will probably file it down to make it fit or just get another ring reducer. Other than that these seemed nice, might be just the ikea lampshade and not reducer so will still give 4 stars as they seem of good quality and would do the job otherwise.

Performed exactly as required. I have fitted two of these to different designs of lampshade and they have clicked into position with no trouble at all.

Easy to fit, fixed my lampshade problem without having to resort to cable ties again!
