If you're not going with Fazer when it comes to your salmiakki needs, you're going about it wrong. This is my standard for good, regular salmiakki and will provide an accurate experience. As for the flavor of the salmiakki itself, it's hard to pin point, as it's not salty and it doesn't taste like black licorice. This taste will likely be a little overwhelming at first, but will become something that you find yourself reaching for more and more often. Soposopo's package is usually in before the expected arrival time. Expect to wait roughly 2-3 weeks in reality. It's a treat worth waiting for. You may be underwhelmed by the size of the bags, but you'll find that they last for around two days.

I got into Salmiakki as an American who liked strong licorice but unknowingly bought a bag of Gustaf's Double Salt and fought my way through it until I developed a taste for it. Currently trying out different brands.I can barely taste the salt in these, just get a tiny bit of the bleach vapor feeling in the nose after I eat a few at a time. These have menthol which I'm not necessarily opposed to, but these have neither a strong licorice or salt flavor so they just end up tasting like cough drops to me. They probably work pretty well as cough drops though, and the packaging is great.
