It does the job

I got this to save money as we are a charity shop and normally use fan heaters. The fan heaters are 2000watts each wheras this is 1200watts. It heats the people in front of it far more directly, the volunteers are far happier with this. The fan heater was very wasteful in comparison as it tries to heat the whole room, every corner. In theory you wouldn't think it but we are now far warmer through the day (as long as you stay in front of it) and instead of it costing 35 pence an hour it now costs 20p an hour. so 7hr day was £2.45 per day for fan heating its now £1.40 per day for halogen heating. over a week this is £14.70 down to £8.40 and over a month £60 down to £35. There is an issue that these bulbs will blow - and from some of the reviews on here they may only last a few weeks sometimes if you are unlucky. If you are good at diy and confident with basic electrics this wont be an issue as you can open the units up and put replacement bulbs in. just be sure to get the exact measurement of tube before ordering. if you not diy savvy this cxould be an issue.

Settings incorrect. No 1. 2 heating bars come on. No2. One heating bar comes on. Also the on and off light does not work. The heating bars work fine.

I ve been using this to heat my bathroom. It worked ok for a few months. One day one of the bars started getting to spark and burned. Luckily I was right there so I switched off before it got into flames. I contacted the seller and they agreed to a refund or to a new heater, but I was told I had to pay the cost to return the faulty one, which was almost £13.Not happy with the overall experience. Also the amazon assistant didn't help. It said that since was from marketplace there was nothing they could do.A waste of time, energy and money.

Good value product, easy to install, choice of heat, looks good on wall.
