I bought this for my daughter. It's a very enjoyable game, even for adults. Easy to teach and a bit thinky too. It also creates a feeling of accomplishment looking at your house at the end.

This is a very pleasant game for a family game evening. Why? First, players don't attack each other or steal each other's cards. Second, even if you don't win you end up with a nice house. It's fun to talk about your house and what you've got even if it didn't score the most points. And third, there is a little luck so junior players have a chance.Look closely at the cards and there's all sorts of hidden jokes eg the garage which has the De Lorean from Back to the Future under a dustsheet or (more intellectual) the bookself that contains a book of poems from a Polish Nobel prizewinner.If you like this game try Bärenpark next, which is also whimsical and family-friendly but with a completely different mechanic.

The first time you play seems a bit complicated but it isn’t really very hard and we loved playing. Different to other board games. 7+ is probably a good shout. Our 6 year old could play but more fun with the older kids.

Great family game and easy to learn, that appeals to both gamers and non-gamers. Although the artwork on the box may be misleading and appear as a children's game, there is strategy in the gameplay. Looking to get the expansion soon. Highly recommended!
