Gives a very strong cast that is difficult to break with satin. It is a light to medium hold gel. My experience with the hold of this product is not that great. But influencers say there is a learning curve with this product. In that case, I have not learned it. For me, the styling serum from this brand is much easier to work on and provides a good hold.

Okay, so I have been searching for a styling product that does not dry my hair, and let me tell you the struggle is REAL. My sister told me to try Ashba and I wasn't sure about this product because I had read it has a hard cast. But let me tell you, I am SO happy I gave it a shot because I’ve found exactly what I was looking for. This contains argan oil, avocado oil, and jojoba which makes it suuuuuper nourishing and moisturizing. My curls don't feel dry and stay defined for hours. The cast is easy to break and after scrunching my hair, the curls feel so soft and look so shiny. Absolutely love it!!! 😍

I was recommended Ashba by a curly friend a year ago and since then these products have been my holy grail. I have 2c-3a type curls and bought the curling custard and styling serum together. The custard is AMAZING. A little goes a long way and the definition lasts for 4-5 days. The SOTC can be a little difficult if you use a large amount of product (which is what happened with me for the 1st time). But then I took less product for my next wash and it worked like magic. 😍This is the best Indian curly hair brand that I have tried, highly recommended!

I have heard great reviews about this product but was still skeptical of buying the whole tub as it may or may not work for my hair. After trying it in one of the salons as a styling product, I finally gave in and ordered this. It works like magic! This was the first time my curls looked less frizzy and shiny. The hold is perfect. I followed up with light oil for SOTC. So overall, full marks!
