Deffinately works...The chain attaching the two could be a little long or easier to take apart but other than that it does the job and good price.

see a You tube video before buying otherwise you can spend ages trying to work it out , you will think you know but it just does not light once you get the knack it works well but yuo can buy them alot cheaper else where

Works really well, using it on homemade firefighters- cotton wool and Vaseline
Works exactly as you want, magnesium lights when struck, and there are a good amount of sparks when struck

Nice simple fire starter
Nice simple fire starter, just make sure you shave the magnesium before hand as can be a pain and time consuming when out in the feild

Great fire starter
It's a great little striker and easy to get the pee sized ball of magnesium you need to get the kindling going.Already used it to start over 4 fires both for camping and BBQ.
