Nice light
This is the nicest small screw golf ball (style) bulb I could find for a lamp I gave as a gift. The bulb itself looks nice when on or off in the angle-poise style fitting its in.The output light is nice, neither too warm nor cool.Recommended.

Pretty design for a light bulb
Brilliant replacement bulb for a several year old 9W (40W equiv.) Sylvania LED bulb that took time to "warm" up and gave eye ache due to invisible flicker. This Philips Master LED bulb is the brightest 8W (60W equiv.) bulb I could find on Amazon UK and works perfectly with my desk lamp. This bulb also gives a nice warm glow, very similar to a standard incandescent / halogen bulb. However, I'd like to see a slightly colder version.Word of warning -- these LED bulbs are bigger than standard E14 bulbs and WILL stick out beyond their means.*This bulb is currently at a lower price than the standard Philips LED bulb of the same type, get this one as it will last much longer (better internal parts)!

Dimmable LED lamps that really work, at last
I had been looking for some time for replacements for some Megaman LED golfball lamps that are supposed to dim but in practice strobed after a few minutes warming, and then tended to fail prematurely too. These are better. The SES lamps here have gone into a fitting with three lamps which is rarely dimmed, but it can dim nicely if I want it to, and the dim to warm is very effective. I bought some similar Philips units with BC fitting (but not available on Amazon at the time) where I needed a short lamp to fit above an uplighter shade (which was made for BC candles) and I routinely dim two lamps right down to minimum at night. They work well for me at either setting. Another pair with a different dimmer model switch are also used part-dimmed and have been known to randomly change intensity, but only one quick change, not strobing as long as they are left on, so a much better unit than the older Megamans and I am happy with them. No doubt they will all keep improving, but these ones on Amazon were a very good price and I hope Amazon starts to take the whole range of these Philips lamps.

Powerful and economical at the same time
Top pick from what’s out there! It’s bright, it spreads the light evenly around itself which others don’t actually achieve that well and the light produced is of a nice warm yellow-ish colour which is much better than the cold white light others provide. It’s economical as it doesn’t require a lot of electricity to run and durability-wise all I can say is that I’ve been using two of these for a good 5 hours/day since the 26th November 2018 and they’re still fine.Would definitely consider buying this again!

It fits
Why do we need all these different ones and we bought two lamps and then had to spend days looking for the right bulbs as they didn't come with the dam bulbs

Finally a LED that dims well!
UPDATE: this has started to overheat and flicker at half brightness after a few uses. Perhaps LEDs are just not designed to be dimmed.Original review:Finally, a philips bulb that fits in a lumie bodyclock! The warmer colour tone when really dim is almost identical to a halogen too, and the dimming is almost perfect (really rare for LED). It's not a *perfect* linear transition but it's close. I first tried the 'candle' shaped version as I assumed it would be the same size as any other candle bulb (I was wrong and that bulb is massive). This bulb is shorter but still rather large -- it's a tight fit but it works, and since the bulb sits diagonally the light is a bit brighter on the right side of the clock when dim but this doesn't hugely bother me.The 8W version of every philips bulb of this kind seems to always have much better reviews than 6W and 4W, maybe the bigger range of brightnesses makes it a better dimmer?I'm really impressed with this.I've tried several "dimmable" E14 LEDs without much success, including amazonbasics bulbs (overheated, very little dimming) and KINDEEP (overly fancy box, still not great). They always just 'pop' on at nearly full brightness and then turn up to full brightness.

It’s a bulb!
It’s an LED bulb. I can’t get too excited about it but it seems well made and it lights up when you want I want it to.It gives off some heat but it’s warm not very hot which is good coz it’s inside a John Lewis Oberon lamp which is basically a glass globe.

Quite bright but a bit large
I have both 40W and 60W(this one). They're bright respective to their power rating and dimming works flawlessly, however, you need to make sure your shade is big enough to take a larger lamp (end to end size (especially on desk lamps where lamp lodged inside the shed horizontally)
