My doctor initially advised me to use this product to filter out any particulate matter from my recalled c-pap. Later she told me that new information advised against it, since using the filter may cut down the pressure output of my machine and that the filter may clog due to moisture from the humidifier on my machine.

I bought these due to the recall news blurbs re: Respironics insulation issues. These do not interfere with my breathing at all, and I feel will stop any errant insulation chunks that may come down the air tube. My only issue is the cumbersome shape of these filters. Hopefully, some idle engineer at the company will produce a better shape.

I use it on the output port of the humidification tank of my Philips Respironics System One CPAP machine. Mainly purchased this product to filter the breathed-in air until I receive a new unit (CPAP machine) to replace the one that I currently own due to a recall of certain models.I will most likely use this in-line filter from this point forward as insurance to mitigate any particulate inhalation.

I immediately noticed a difference. I lost some flow through resistance across the filter, and I'm not feeling as bad in my lungs and sinus's. Not prefect but a much needed accessory.

Great temporary fix for the recalled Philips Respironics units on recall.
