Fits about to size, very light, keeps feet kind of warmer and is waterproof. So far used as everyday shoes, hiking and some work. Solid.

Update after 6 months of use:The sole has stared separating from the upper after just 6 months of mild use. Did not expect such poor quality from Salomon. There is no warranty on these shoes in Amazon, so please use your discretion before buying.Review after 1 weekThe shoes look great and have excellent quality as expected from Salomon. The shoes were shipped in original packaging with all labels attached. The upper material is textile and full grain leather, not the lower-quality PU-coated leather.I have used the shoes for hiking short distances in tropical locations and they were comfortable with good grip on wet surfaces and provide very stable foothold and ankle support. There were no abrasive areas. Even in the hot weather, my feet did not feel hot or sweaty so the membrane seems to be breathable.The sole does not flex much, and the ankle area is fairly firm. Overall it provides good foot and ankle support without impacting ankle movement.The shoes require break-in. They are also snug around the toes so i suggest going for wide size shoes if your feet are wide.Overall very satisfied with the product, the seller, and the price. These shoes seem to be excellent value for money.

These are light, sturdy and comfortable. I have a lot of low back issues and I do better in these than in most other hiking shoes. The toes are somewhat protected by a rubber lip, but the toe box is narrower than Keens and Merrells. In the end I wanted the Salomon due to the lighter weight. Very short break in period and comfortable to hike for hours.

Ordered these hiking shoes for my upcoming elk hunt in Colorado. Arrived quickly and nicely packaged. I typical wear a 14 in tennis shoes and 14 in boots. I took the risk and purchased size 14Great looking hiking boot. Lined pretty well in the tongue to prevent water coming in. The size 14 fits well. I’ve yet to go on a hike and really test them out but from my experience with hiking boots, these are above par. For the sale price of less than 100, a great deal.Update- After a weekend of testing these boots out, I’m super happy with the purchase. Very comfortable and light weight boot. Ankle support is 5/10 but it’s much better than a regular tennis shoe and less than a bulky and heavy boot. The first trip was coyote hunting and it performed well.The second trip was fishing where I had a to get the boot submerged over a majority of the boot. Feet never got wet. 10/10.My feet do tend to sweat at times during warmer days. These boots must provide some airflow because it occurred less.

Salomon quality, great fit true to size. These lightweight boots are extremely comfortable hiking boots. Well cushioned insoles and an aggressive outsole make these an excellent hiking boot for all trail types. The lacing system makes these extremely secure on your feet and easy to put on and take off. Comfortable for all day wear or aggressive on trail hiking.

Had to return them because they don't make them in a wide size.Great shoes and quality product.Ordered Ultra 4 in wide width.

A friend recommended this company to me and I came across this model and purchased it for a 1 week trip to Iceland in December.It was great, and provide excellent grip support whether I was going up an incline or descending. After walking for long periods of time my foot never felt too hot or sore and uncomforable. (Perhaps because I wore these with merino wool socks). Even driving with these on was a pleasant experience as I was able to comfortably flex my foot and didn't feel so still and rigid!I would certainly recommend if anyone wants a sturdy, stylish and comfortable pair of hiking shoes!

These fit true to size, and look great besides. A minor quibble is that the toe box could stand to be a bit wider for me, but my feet are a bit wider than average. Great ankle support for hiking, though I probably need to do more of that on uneven ground to have a more informed opinion.Would recommend and buy again!
