One of the best progressive metalcore band

Been listening to it since it came out 15 years ago.Here it is!

This is a typical hardcore band, but they randomly show some musical talent by quickly stuffing in some very technical parts into their songs. That’s what initially attracted me to this band, and it’s what made me stay. It oddly brings a whole new life to a rather dull genre.

BoS is an amazing band, this is an amazing album, and you will not regret getting this CD. My brother’s memory lives on in these songs. May he RIP KKH ❤️

Arrived very Quickly, sealed professionally and condition was mint. No scratches on the cd. looked almost as if it was new. 10/10 would buy again.

Rarely does a deathcore or metal band in general combine extremely technical instrumental work with such creative guitar riffs. Okubo is an absolute genius and shines in this album. Awesomely unique guitar work, tight drumming and good vocals make this a solid album from Veil of Maya.

This is the consummate djent album that should be owned by every fan of the genre. Pretty much every song on the album is a classic.

It's a bit dated at this point, but that only makes me appreciate it more. Great tracks, awesome (and clear) mixing, and insanely technical guitar and drums.

Längere Zeit wartete ich auf eine Preissenkung der VoM Alben, letztendlich siegte mein Verlangen nach dieser Musik.Das hat den Grund, dass sie einzigartig ist.Growling, pfeilschnelle Riffs, technische Drums und allerhand Breakdowns. Das sind die Quintessenzen des Deathcore/Tech Deaths. Wie diese Ingredenzien allerdings von VoM vermischt und stellenweise einfach aberwitzig überzogen und mit himmlischen Melodien gewürzt werden, das macht diese Musik für mich zu etwas ganz Großem.Fakt ist, dass diese Mixtur schwer zugänglich und nur in gewissen Momenten ertragbar ist. Selbst der eingefleischte Tech Death und/oder Prog Fan wird sich stellenweise ob der "Strukturen" und Taktvariationen die Haare raufen.Was den Gesamteindruck etwas verblassen lässt sind folgende Punkte:1.Produktion: Wenig Druckvoll, allgemein zu leise2.Breakdowns: Auf Dauer doch etwas monoton, da jedes Lied fast zur Hälfte aus Breakdowns besteht3.Vocals: Braucht man bei dieser Musik wirklich Vocals? Teilweise verblassen diese einfach hinter der Musik und stören stellenweise sogar etwas.4.Spielzeit: Im Genre nicht unüblich, doch immer wieder ein Wermutstropfen: 33 Minuten sind mMn einfach zu kurz für das Geld. Man gewöhnt sich grade an das Vergnügen und schon ist es wieder rum, auch wenn die Musik schwer zugänglich ist, so stellt das Album deshalb keine Langzeitbeschäftigung dar.Anspieltipps: It's Not Safe To Swim Today, We Bow In It's Aura (das Intro Riff!!!), Entry Level Exit Wounds (einfach nur abgedreht)Wertung: 7,5/10

This is most definitely Veil of Maya's best release to this day. The riffs are constantly interesting and changing with a unique sound. While the unique sound can be heard in later rreleases, it's not quite as technical and some of the riffs merely sound like very fast metalcore riffs.

Great album.Brutal and melodic with deep, guttural roars that are both powerful and beautiful.Insane guitar-work and drumming. So tight and well produced.Recommend

Du bon Deathcore bien burné y'a que ça de vrai ! arrivé en avance à ma grande surprise, nickel chrome rien à redire, une pure tuerie ! un peu trop court mais puissant !
